Lazy, incompetent mail carriers who will deliver just your paper mail but not a small package. This post office is one of the worst ones i ever dealt with.

Simply a terrible post office! I do quite a bit of shopping and business online. I was noticing that packages that should have arrived to my home office, was not just arriving, even after the tracking showed delivered. It happened on several occasions and each time I contacted this post office and was given the run around as well as multiple answers. I never received a resolution to any of my issues and luckily the missing packages were small to moderate purchase items. If it were expensive items, I would have been at a large loss, because since the tracking shows as being delivered, it is nearly impossible to win a claim. It becomes your word vs. the post office's word. Either two things were occurring, either someone in my complex was stealing packages left for me or the post man/office was stealing/leaving packages at the wrong location. Packages don't just disappear on their own! Anyhow, in order to avoid the problem again, so I thought, I opened up a PO Box with this local post office and decided that I would have all important packages shipped to my PO Box. Once again, directly in their post office, packages were going missing after showing delivered. I spent 2 days tracking down a package that showed as delivered and each time a rep from this office said it could not be found. I went back again one evening, pleading for the post office to locate the package and finally a helpful rep tracked it down and located it on a shelf. This was after two reps said they could not find it! And, within the last 3 weeks, I have had two more packages just go missing after showing as delivered. The post office has yet to provide answers or follow-up with me. Each time I call, I am given a different answer from a different rep and they NEVER follow-up. You have to call and harass them. It is just terrible. I have decided to no longer renew my PO BOX and I have decided to set one up a new PO Box in the Providence main office. All in all, beware of this location. I am not sure if there are thieves in-house, or if packages are being mishandled and sent to the wrong addresses, but there is no excuse for packages to go missing and to not follow-up with pleading customers . I dread that this post office is the local office that delivers my personal mail, because they are unorganized and I often have regular mail that goes missing too. I think USPS in general is a great company, but this branch is probably the worst I have dealt with in my lifetime. And, to make matters worst, it's one of the cleaner locations in RI, and it's in pleasant Garden City, but the service is awful/shady, so the cleanliness of this location is overshadowed by poor service.

I have been coming to this post office for many years and other than the long lines I have liked very much the postal workers who help me all the time. However last week I mailed a priority envelope to Medford Massachusetts on Tuesday and it said it would get there on Wednesday, April 19. I also mailed a priority envelope to Burbank California which arrived in two days on April 20. I use priority because you are guaranteed insurance of $50. It has now been eight days and my brother in Medford still has not received my priority. When I try to track it, it only had the date when the letter was excepted on Tuesday, April 18. After that it doesn't show that the letter went anywhere or was excepted anywhere else .it's simply read "in transit". When I approached the supervisor and manager they told me that they would try and track it and the supervisor was very nice but didn't get anywhere. The manager however was rude and insisted that he had contacted supervisors in Providence and everywhere else but told me in no way was I going to get my $50 back.when I asked why not he said because I said so. I told him that my theory was that the priority never left their facility because there was nowhere else it was scanned. He asked if I insinuated that someone possibly stole it there and I said that could be a possibility. He became more rude and told me if I wanted another number to call it which I did ask for and I did call only to find that that number said the office was vacant and if I wanted to pursue it any further I would have to call Hartford Connecticut. I simply asked how long is an insured letter considered lost before you are reimbursed and he would not answer me. I am extremely upset for the way I was treated and for the fact of the nonchalance that was taken in trying to find my letter. After reading the above review from Chanel Jared I am in complete agreement that this is for the most part a terrible office except for a wonderful postal agent name Scott at the front desk. I will continue to try and get answers even if I have to call the Attorney General but this is a very sad excuse for a manager who is completely unprofessional and rude.

PLEASE TRAIN YOUR STAFF to provide accurate information to customers. I understand the many negative reviews. In a nut shell i was to recieve medication from the VA delivered to my house. I missed the "delivery" on Friday and was told to come in 15 minutes before close of business. I came into the post office with the a clueless and unprofessional clerk (female) telling me to come back over the weekend or it will be delivered on Monday 3jul (i asked her a good 3 times if deliveries will take place on Monday). Well its Monday and no delivery and tommorrow is a federal holiday so that will be 6 days without a medication i need because at least 2 of your employees cannot communicate accurate information to customers.
