The clerks inside the office have always seemed to do a good job. However, my city carrier is a complete unprofessional hack. Full disclosure: I was a city carrier for the USPS for 8 years. My carrier thinks it’s ok to leave unprotected packages on an uncovered porch when there’s a 16 inch snow storm in-progress. She also can’t take the time to put a smaller “soft-package properly inside the box where it wouldn’t get wet. She is a completely unprofessional carrier, and a disgrace to city carriers. A simple note indicating the package is at the Post Office for pickup would be fine. I hope her USPS carrier for her home leaves her next package in a puddle, so she will know how it feels.

I had gone into the post office and told the woman behind the counter that I had not received mail in 2 weeks. She asked if the delivery man could access the box. I told her that I could reach it from the street. Doesn't the post office notify you in any way if there is a problem. NO was her answer. I gave her all my information and the postmaster was to check with the driver and I would get a phone call. NOTHING happened. I have been 5 days without my medication. I called the prescription mail service and they have a note from the POST OFFICE that they tried to deliver it on the 6th and COULDN'T REACH. The post office can notify the sender but not the RECEIVER? I also know that I am missing other mail. Where is your customer service? I cannot get my meds today because it is MLK. I hope that I have no health problems due to your lack of due diligence. You wonder why people are seeking other ways to send items, THIS IS WHY.

Maybe the most pleasant post office experience I've ever had despite visiting the week before Christmas. One clerk even helped me stamp my envelopes!

It is always frustrating to lose a package, but I have had a great experience with the customer service at USPS. Friendly, personable and helped me as much as possible.

I visit the post office at least once a month, and I'm always happy to see Marty and chat with him. All the clerks are incredibly sweet and great at their jobs. One time I went to pick up a letter that needed to be signed for, and at first they couldn't find it because it had been addressed to my boyfriend's old address. The manager personally went to look for it and updated me at every juncture, while the clerks busily took care of the other customers to make sure I wasn't holding up the line. The letter was found, and I walked out with a smile on my face.
