This is an average post office. I have had mixed experiences with people here. Overall most of the window people are pleasant but there is one or two I avoid like the plague. The postal manager was great helping us get a post box for our business. I have had poor results trying to explain mail-mixups to them and when it gets complicated I prefer the Sahuarita location. Expect longer lines during the winter due to snowbirds population in the city. But overall, it's good to have a post office in town.

Be ready to walk in there and be scolded if you so much as smile. I try to avoid this post office at all costs l, but since it is the one on the street for me I use it more often then I want to. I sent out some boxes via priority mail yesterday, and had another package that I wanted to send via first class. Unbeknownst to me I forgot to tape the back of the first-class package and would require about a 6 inch strip of tape to secure the package. I asked the lady behind the counter if I could have some tape, to which she replied that she only had priority mail tape and that I would have to purchase post office packing tape if I needed to take something. You would have thought I was asking for a personal loan from her. It was a measly 6 inch piece of tape that I was asking for! She held up some plain old masking tape and said this is the only table I have, but it will not secure your package. I was not rude to her, but was frustrated and a little baffled at the fact that the post office has no tape available for customers to use, especially when they have paid for other services and still need to pay to ship out this package. Needless to say, I left and went to another post office where I happened to be in Tucson. That post office is amazing! The people behind the counter were laughing, joking, and interacting with the customers! I purchased a book of stamps and in the process asked if I could mail out this package and have some tape in order to do so. Without hesitation she reached under her counter, grab the tape, ripped off a piece, and then secured my package for me. She was amazed when I told her that the other post office would not do so and told me I had to buy my own tape.

The postal workers work as hard and as fast as they can. Because we are a winter destination with lots of snowbirds, the lines can be long, but people become TOO impatient! I have lived here 16 years and have had good service at this post office.
