I had a great cut with Sabre! Aside from being really friendly and professional, I gave her full control of my cut (I knew I wanted some length off but wasn't sure if any style) and she did a wonderful job. Definitely going back here, and I'm happy to have found a salon I like!

Don't bother, there's plenty of other better and competitively priced spas in the area. The facial was nice. The pedicure was hugely disappointing and I would've been better off going into one of the walk-in places along State Street. I paid for the spa pedicure, it started 40 minutes late and lasted 35 minutes instead of an hour. The woman at the front desk gave me a sarcastic "thanks for coming in, bye." when I told her I don't want a future free visit because there's nothing drawing me back there.

I usually don't leave business reviews because I feel like you really have had to have the worst experience of your life to go out of your way... but here we are.

I went to Valère spa yesterday to get a brazilian wax while visiting Boise, I had actually been here once before for a massage a year ago but hadn't put two and two together (the massage was underwhelming to say the least). There's only one woman here that does the waxing, I believe her name is Brittany — I'm sorry Brittany to be throwing you under the bust like this — but it was by far the worst waxing experience I have ever had. Already a super unpleasant task to have to do, but this was another level of pain. I told her the wax was too hot, she didn't change the temperature, I continued to wince at the heat and she said "I think you're psyching yourself out". K. 

I left, didn't think much of it other than I won't be returning.

This morning I woke up to black and blue bruises and burns all over the area. Not even like a casual bruising because I was tensing my muscles, but full on black, terrifying bruise.

It's unacceptable for this establishment to think this is okay, and I hope they re-evaluate before they move forward giving any further waxes. Valére has you sign a waver before you get waxed basically saying reactions to the waxing process aren't they're fault, however I believe physical bruising and burning very much is.

I have been seeing Sabre for a while even before she came to Valère and she has always done a great job with my hair! She gives the best head massages! The salon itself is very nice and spa-like. The staff is very friendly and the location is great. I will always recommend Valère salon and Sabre to friends and family!

Sarah is great, she has great knowledge of how your body reacts to massage and I felt like a million bucks! Will come back for sure!
