So gorgeous here... We did not have a full day to explore when we went, but I wish we had. Beautiful campgrounds, I would have loved to stayed at one of the two we saw. We saw 3 big horn sheep by the visitors center, lizards and chipmunk. Beautiful red rock and clay formations. Give yourself a full day or more to explore this beautiful park.

If you haven't been to Valley of Fire State Park, what are you waiting for? This place is incredible. It's small but what it doesn't have in size it makes up for in spectacular colors. The colors in the rock span the entire rainbow. It is unlike any landscape I've seen. Highly recommend a trip out. $10 entry fee and $10 to camp. Bathrooms at almost all parking lots. The Arch Rock campground is a great place to camp for the night.

The park was amazing. There are plenty of trails to follow with well known rocks and locations, but there is so much more to it. You can pretty much just park anywhere and go exploring, or you can stay in the car and just experience the park from your seat. There are plenty of bathrooms along the way and the visitors center has water fountains and a water fill up location for water bottles and such. All in all we loved the park and we're so glad that we took the time to go see it. Oh yeah and only 10$ per a car to get in. That's a screaming deal for what you're getting.

Fantastic visit. Gorgeous rock formations with amazing color. You can view it comfortably from your car but also get out and hike if you wish. Very reasonably priced and a wonderful visit. If you want to walk some of the trails are very sandy so bring good shoes. You'll likely want a hat, water etc. During the summer because I expect it will be very hot then. During January it was amazingly comfortable though even without a hat. The visitors center does have a spout for filling up water.

We have been camping out here a couple times now and have had a great experience on each trip. The camp sites are nice with access to running water and a bathroom, and there are RV sites with plug ins if you're going for a long haul. Park Ranger Sandra has spoken with us each time and been a great help and source of valuable information! Grateful to have such a beautiful park so close to home. Thanks for all the work you guys do to keep it nice for everyone to enjoy!
