Good place to go for used or new bikes.  They have bikes for every budget.  Parking can be tricky as it's a little lot in the back.  I bought a used bike here and it has treated me well.  Replaced a few parts and it rides great now.  My only complaint is that the quality control here could be a little better.  Used or not the tires shouldn't be less than 20psi, aka flat and the front derailleur cable loose to where it wouldn't work.  I still recommend them as a place to check out if you are in the market for a bike just do your homework before.

I, like many in Goleta, had my bike seat (post and all) stolen from me. I brought my bike to Steve, and he found a post that fit, installed it and a very comfortable seat for a VERY reasonable price. I was overjoyed with the price, the quality of customer service, and the turnaround time. If you have bicycle needs in Goleta, GO HERE! :-)

It was actually cheaper to get my bike fixed here than on campus. The employee who helped me was both kind and efficient. Great, fast service!

Varsity bike shop is the best bike shop in the Santa Barbara Isla Vista area that I've been too it's been there for over 50 years recently got a a new owner Steve he's the man! The bikes are very good quality and reasonably priced also they are put together very very well. They have some of the most amazing  customer service I've ever had anywhere they treat you like family! If  anything is wrong with your bike take it there they're very very honest with what is wrong with your bike won't try and charge you extra. They will find out what's wrong with your bike and will fix it in in a reasonably time. They have very reasonable pricing on all parts and cost of labor. Overall one of the best bike shops around the Santa Barbara area with the friendliest staff with very reasonable prices on new bikes used bikes and repairs. They also have a new rental bike program that is pretty much the cheapest rental program in town compared to other bike shops in the area. So if you are moving up there or just on vacation visiting and need a bike I would highly suggest going there over any other bike shop!
