Dr. Hubert and Dr. Blades were the kindest and most helpful vets we could’ve asked for. Our kitty got very sick very suddenly, and they were very patient in taking our numerous calls and answering our questions. We ended up having to put our lady down, and Dr. Blades sent us a thoughtful, handwritten condolence card a few days later. It may be a small gesture, but it helped us to know that we made the right decision and that the doctors sincerely cared about us, both during and after our time there. I’d highly recommend, VCA truly cares about both pets and their owners and wants to make sure everyone receives the best care possible.

Thanks customer service at this place was abysmal. I was recommended by my vet which is why I went to Southpaws. Getting any information after our visit was like pulling teeth. I was told my dog would need medications, but I had to be the one to ask all the questions! Where will I get it? Do I come to VCA to pick it up? Will you call it in? Do I have to call it in? What are the instructions for administering it? I also had to call for the results of her tests. After all that my dog was no better and I took her back for a follow-up. I was in the waiting room with my dog for A long time until I turned and looked at the receptionist. She then got up and walked to the back. When she returned I asked if she new how long it would be because we were waiting almost 20 minutes. She said we had been waiting for 16 minutes and that it would be "soon". (The clock in the waiting area was a few minutes fast.) When we were called backed I asked the lady (the only nice one of our visit) if she was told we were here when we arrived she said she had been waiting for us but was just told, so the receptionist just didn't bother to tell anyone we arrived and it wasn't even busy. Finally, when we were wrapping up our appointment with the vet, I asked her if I would be notified about the results of the tests my dog was going to get. She was very rude and defensive and said they always respond. This is actually untrue considering our last ridiculous email exchange, described by the questions I had to get all the answers to above, ended with me asking if I would need to call to make the follow up appointment or if we were going to schedule it via email and I got no response. I will never go back to this place and my other pet owner friends I will tell to steer clear of this place.

Waited over three hours and people who came in after me where seen first. When asking the techs how long it would be I was given rude responses and one lady just walked away not responding. I got a hand put up in my face also. This place is not recommended. Literally wait the day or so to see a more professional vet.

People go to an emergency vet for a reason - IT'S AN EMERGENCY! It took nearly 24hrs for us to get the medication needed to help treat our cat. We called the Vet several times to ask why the meds were taking so long and we kept getting the run-around. The Dr. specifically said if we did not get meds in our cat he would have to be hospitalized ($1200 fee per night). If their goal is to help the animals they treat they need to make sure the medication they prescribe is available in a timely manner. They also sent us on a wild goose chase trying to find over the counter meds that do not exist!

Could not get to have an consultancy. People over the phone are so rude. I had schedule an appointment and called back to see if they could look into my pet records because she needed surgery the earliest the better and they dindt even have the name of the hospital they had to call, I had to explain the reason my dog was going to this hospital. It was like if I had never called, decided to cancel the appointment after evaluating other facilities attention. By the end they didnt even care I cancelled.
