This was our first visit to Fresco and we were pleased. We have regularly visited Carlsbad for over 20 years, and decided to try someplace new. Food was fresh and delicious. Service was a tad slow for 3:30 in the afternoon, but not bad. Cocktails were inventive. Outdoor seating was nice, and on a chilly day the heaters made our visit nice. Atmosphere, decor and staff were all welcoming. We will definitely return. Many gluten free choices as well, which can be rare at an Italian style restaurant.

Sad Mother's Day dinner- Minestrone soup sounded great with a Citrus salad. What a disappointment! The soup came after the salad, it was barely warm and basically it was a vegetable soup with No flavor! It had no herbs, no legumes & no pasta... No minestrone ... Terrible!!! The salad was a huge bunch of very fresh arugula, with some pine nuts & cheese, but the citrus extremely scant. Granted, the waitress had split the salad as we had asked, so I guess that's why we each got 1 slice of orange cut in half. Additionally I requested accommodation for my elderly mother, however the hostess seated us outside and assured us it wouldn't be cold because there were heaters. We were too far from the heaters to receive any warmth & the seat too uncomfortable for her. Service was slow though they try to be pleasant. Will never return or recommend.

The food was great and Anthony was a great person that relates to the customers and knows the menu and ingredients well.He was the atmosphere and character of this great place. We also love Linda the owner,who personally spoke with us and gave us suggestions for when we travel Europe. This is why I come to Carlsbad and I will definitely be coming back.

Excellent food and service. We really enjoyed everything about it. My spouse and I always try carbonara when going to an Italian restaurant for a first time and this one was excellent and unique. I hope we visit Carlsbad again to try more of the food at 264 Fresco

I have existed on this planet for over 2 decades and have never once had lava cake that I could even put in the same category as this lava cake. It was the best thing I have ever had in my mouth. Moist, rich and had the perfect texture. If I could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be this lava cake. Pizza was good. 10/10 would recommend.
