Just visited the Village Inn in Orem just off of University Pkwy. I understand it's Christmas day but it was one of very few places open, and we still had a 5 hour drive ahead of us to make it home. It started with a 20 minute wait to be seated, another 15 to meet our server, 20 more minutes to get our drinks, after 2 hours the food came to the table, right off there was a hair on the bun of my burger and all the rest of the food that made it to the table was cold, as if it had sat there for a while. The place wasn't overly busy, there were empty tables so it wasn't like they were slammed. We refused to eat the food and also refused to pay. IF YOU MAKE SOMEONE WAIT 2 HOURS FOR FOOD IT BETTER BE DAMN GOOD AND SPOT ON!!!!

We go to village inn often. I love all their breakfast meals. I also order other things sometimes. The service is great there. The only complaint I have is that their lemonade never mixes right and often taste like water.

Went to Provo village inn with my 18 month old daughter. The waiter never came to our table. Two other couples without children were immediately served had water before they were even seated. The host was very nice but when you wait for the waiter to even come say hi I’m your server it’s not good. Walked out oh well they missed out on about $35 worth of food all thanks to a waiter who wouldn’t serve a family with a child.

Had the Philly Jack Benedict, I liked it. The sausage was delicious and the grilled peppers added a nice zesty flavor. If anything, I think it could have used more of the pepper jack sauce.

It definitely blows Denny's out of the water in terms of food quality (you can't see through the bacon if you hold it up.) And quality of service (we got our food in under an hour, unlike Denny's). Anyway, if these chains are the experience you're going for, VI is the way to go. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because other restaurants are better for breakfast food. For a chain - try black bear diner up by the mall. For a local hole in the wall - try Joe's Cafe in Orem. (Joe's is only open through lunch time.) Good luck and happy eating.
