When we moved here, I saw some crappy reviews for this store. I don't know if the store made changes or the reviewers were just bitchy, but the complaints seem to be unfounded now. I'm happy to have this as our closest Walmart. You sure couldn't complain about waiting in line. They have 24 self checkouts along with the regular checkouts. The employees are nice and that's always a bonus. I like the store layout much better than the next closest store.

Added more items to shop for..more variety..  Clothing they have to offer is finally in style..up to date. Getting better. Employees aren't getting any better. In fact, they get more rude and impatient with every visit.

I'm pretty experienced at various Walmarts around the country. This one in January and February 2018 has had trouble keeping products on the shelves. Today I experienced a 25 minute delay before anyone could find out if my online order had arrived. Plenty of employees passed by and asked if I could be helped, but nobody could find the "dot com" attendant, until much later.

It's the supermart of Galveston. Where else? It has just about everything you need. I like that it's clean and fairly well stocked. The wait in lines are usually fairly long. Could be staffed more. All in all, a good store.

I go to this Walmart on average twice a week.  I probably wouldn't if the next nearest Walmart wasn't 30 miles or so away. There are NEVER more than a handful of registers open. During the two weeks leading up to Christmas, even on weekends, there were only about half of the registers open at any given time. As if that wasn't bad enough, alot of the cashiers are so slow it's all I can do to not try to help them bag my groceries so as to speed up the process. I've taken my concerns to management, but it didn't, and doesn't, have any affect. I truly hope someone in upper management sees this and addresses the problem.
