This has to be one of the best shops around. - The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I when into asks question about a product and answer my questions in a comprehensive manner. Additionally, then noticed my bike tires needed air and filled them for me for free and without me asking. - There is a fairly comprehensive selection on products. Comparing their bike prices to the internet, they are more expensive. However everything comes professionally assembled and many bike qualify for a free tune up after one year

Walt's provided the best in-store service I've ever experienced. Totally ignorant of bicycle mechanics, I came to Walt's and declared I needed a new chain, sprockets, and whatever else the experts thought seemed out of whack on my old bicycle. I could have been upsold to all new components, but that isn't this store's style. Jim took one look at the bike and rolled it to the back of the shop while I babbled about my issues. He put it up on the stand and asked me if I'd like to do the work myself. He said, "It'll cost you more than 50 cents." I said it was best that they do it because I'm not very handy, thinking it would be an involved project. Jim started pedaling the bike, shifting gears and observing the bike's operation. He sprayed it with generous quantities of lube and removed the cobwebs dangling from the gear shifters. I watched as the master brought my neglected bike back to life, adjusting shifters and continuing to spray more lube than I thought a can could hold. Jim assured me the bike was now good to ride until June. He said the bike probably had some rust issues in cables because it had sat for years, but I'd be fine until at least June (after quickly calculating mileage in his head based on my commute). He kindly talked me through the bike's mechanics. At one point I said I'd outed my glaring ignorance of mechanics, to which he replied, "There's no ignorance in learning." Sage advise to apply to all aspects of life. The price for this work and education? $0. I bought lube and polish so I could at least repay this wonderful store in some minor way. Jim told me the lube I bought was great on squeaky hinges and locks, too. Bring your bike here to be treated kindly.

A more extensive selection than most places I visited, the staff was knowledgeable and helpful,, good value as well since prices were in line with what I found on the internet even though I was able to take the assembled bike home immediately for the same price. Free tune-up at a later date included. Very happy with the experience here and will be back the next time I need a bike or service or accessories
