Receptionist was impatient. Because the receptionist cannot clearly explain procedure the first time around, we had to call about 4 times total to have a patient's remains be picked-up.  Given the previous reviews and my personal experience... don't use this funeral home. Wishing they were kinder, explain procedure and requirements clearly the first time around... also hoping they are culturally competent.

Trying to get a corrected (accurate) copy of Death Certificate is IMPOSSIBLE when their promises are NOT kept and they will NOT answer my inquiries.  It is difficult enough to deal with the death of a child without having to fight so hard with the funeral home to get the certificate for which I PAID for.  They refuse to communicate and to send me an accurate document.  NOT very professional nor compassionate.  ESPECIALLY since my daughter was not from NYC - she was visiting NYC with her family to celebrate a birthday landmark.  She loved NYC but obviously they are NOT willing to reciprocate.  What  a shame and a mean thing to put a parent through.

I found the staff here to be very caring and considerate. We had a viewing of my 11 month old son and his makeup was a little off. Other than that everything was wonderful. They fulfilled our wishes completely. They were prompt and very reasonably priced. I have yet to pick up his cremated remains but I wanted to place a positive review because they deserve one.

I purchased a Pre-Plan direct cremation from Walter Cooke for my mother-in-law. Part of the agreed upon contract was that Walter Cooke transfer my mother-in-law's remains into an urn and then deliver it to us. Instead, Walter cooke called my hsuband and delivered him a cardboard box. When he opened it, my husband found his mother's uncontained remains, which he then had to wach off his hands. There is no excuse for this. Do not come to these people, ever.
