We offer a collection of over 47,000 items including over 800 audiobooks, 1,000 DVDs, and over 100 magazine and newspaper subscriptions available for check out. Patrons of Washington Public Library also have access to all materials owned by and/or subscribed to by the Scenic Regional Library System. Additional WPL resources include computer workstations with internet access and word processing, wireless Internet access and great study spaces.
Weekly Programs: (No registration required)
-Pre-School Story time, for ages 3 to 6, on Tuesdays and Fridays at 10 a.m.
-Tot Time, for children under 3, on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Monthly programs: (No registration required)
-Chess Club, for all ages, on every second Tuesday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
-Legos Club, for ages 6 and up, on every third Tuesday of the month from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Book Clubs:
-Library Book Club meets on every third Wednesday of month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. December's book is Mudbound by Hillary Jordan.
-Literary Classic Book Club meets every third Monday of the month from 7 to 8 p.m. December's book is The Shepherd of the Hills by Harold Bell Wright.
