Resort style Municipal beach with campground, cabins, and picnic area. Expansive sandy beach, woodland dunes, some with stairways leading to observation decks providing sweeping views of lake and the skyline of Chicago some 30 miles away! Outstanding sunset viewing! Modern pavilion at the beach with restrooms and showers, and vending machines. Walking distance from beach to shops and restaurants. Parking$

We called in advance.  They said they had sites available.  When we arrived they were still sure they had sites, but did not know which ones.  We drove through all 3 campground "loops".  No sites available.   These people are clueless!!!  

I didn't get a picture, but if I did it would be a pile of dog s--t to match the campground.

We called well in advance and were told that they do not take reservations. We are located 6 hours away and were concerned with not having a reservation. We were assured that if we came in on a Wednesday they would have "plenty of sites available." We arrived on Wednesday as scheduled and were told they were full but people were leaving in the morning. We started calling the office as soon they opened (actually before) when we finally got an answer we were told "those sites were already re-rented for the day." If you have any kind of a drive at all do not count on staying at this place!! Almost every other park was also full and we ended up having to drive 40 minutes out of our way! If you plan to stay in this area MAKE RESERVATIONS somewhere else!

Well is our favorite beach! It's stunning! The cabins are cozy and a short walk from the beach. Kayak and surf board rentals are available during the summer months and taps is played at sunset! We just love it!!

Great place to get together with family, hit the water and have a BBQ cookout. They have a campground where you can camp out or stay in a cabin. The fee to get in the beach area is $10.00 per vehicle. It's also very close to a few winerys and orchards where you can go peach or Apple picking.
