I have taken all,my pets here over the last 15 + years. The staff are great. The veterinarians are awesome, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I recommend them to everyone I know. The fact that someone stays at the facility all night if there is a overnight stay is the best thing off all.

I am not a fan of this vet clinic. I usually take my dog to Lakewood Animal Hospital but one night after they were closed, he was wheezing a lot so I took him here to get looked at because I live about a block away. My issues with this place are as follows: 

1) They took my dog in the back, out of sight, where I could not watch them examine him. My normal vet does everything right in front of me. This is probably so that they can sneak extra items onto their bills that I can't verify were or were not actually done.

2) When they brought him back to the room, the first comment the doctor made was that my dog has dental disease. Why yes he does because I rescued him, and I was already well aware of that. No need to tell me something I already know (and yes, I'm aware my dog had not been here so it wasn't charted that I knew - but still annoying nonetheless).

3) The doctor then made a vague diagnosis about inflammation in the lungs after x-rays, and said the only way to be sure of the cause would be to send it to a radiologist. He was rushed, not empathetic, and seemed to be looking to extract as much cash as possible from me for the visit. 

4) Following all that a vet assistant came in the room to again, push me to have the radiologist look at the x-rays and offer different payment methods. 

5) I declined radiologist and insisted the doc on duty give me at least an educated guess and treatment. He did. $300 later we were outta there. 

Avoid and get to your normal vet at all costs, if this is NOT your usual place. I only wish I could remember which doc we saw when here. I will
 NOT recommend to people.

I have been going  to West Park for just over a year now. I take my 2 cats and my dog there. They always do a great job. My chocolate lab is a very hyper, crazy boy. They are always able to accommodate my crazy schedule and get us in for physicals/vaccinations and whatever else we need. They also have great prices and do a wonderful job.

Employees are always very nice. My dogs are very shy, but they always seem happy once they come out from getting their nails trimmed or shots done. Must get lots of pets and treats!

It's a vet that does charge a lot.. I owe them money from some needless surgeries on a few of my cats a few years ago. And I was told today I'm pretty much blacklisted and can't even buy flea medicine with cash there.. All they care about is money! If you go there make sure you got the funds available. 3 months ago One of my cats died and I could not afford to pay for cremation the day she passed... until three days later.. I was told over the phone to put cat in freezer and when I could pay bring her in.. They at least could have taken my cat to their freezer.. Very heartless.. They won't do anything unless you pay.. No matter how traumatic the situation..
