I wish I could give this place ZERO stars!! My dad broke a tooth. He doesn’t frequent the dentist and wanted to go to Western Dental based on a positive experience he had there from 30 years ago. After reading the reviews, I tried to persuade him to try another dental company. He’s stubborn. I called and got him a same day appointment at the El Monte office for 2:45pm. He arrived at 2:30pm and was told his appointment was at 2:15pm and they were short staffed and so he could be rescheduled for a different day. Keep in mind, he was in considerable pain. My dad called me and I called their customer service line. The representative confirmed the appointment was in their system for 2:45pm and could not offer and explanation as to why it showed up as 2:15pm in the clinic system. He rescheduled my dad for the next day at the Pasadena location. This was just as bad. He was there OVER 3 hours and they sent him on his way with NOTHING done after telling him it would cost “thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars” to fix everything that needed correction and recommending he have several teeth pulled and get dentures. Again, I called customer service and was placed on hold for 42 minutes before hanging up. Today, we tried another dental company and they were excellent and he gets to keep his teeth. Western Dental, you should be ashamed!!

I had a simple cleaning/check-up appointment at 11am and waited THREE HOURS to be seen. They did the x-rays, then left me for another half hour. The dentist came in to review the x-rays and do a physical check of teeth, made one minor comment about an aesthetic issue and asked about pain in one area, and left. I wait another half hour, and some payment rep comes in to tell me there are 14 procedures (some uninsured) that the dentist recommends. Aside from the one aesthetic issue, that was the first I'd heard of any of them!! I asked for the dentist to return and explain why I was being recommended all these treatments, and he just seemed annoyed and would not explain any in detail. I particularly was disappointed that there was no reason whatsoever given for the very expensive uninsured treatment, and when I asked for other treatment options they told me to leave their office to go see a another dentist if I didn't like their recommendations. Also, they assigned me a dentist with whom I had not made the appointment, and didn't even advise me of it at any point. This was the worst, least professional medical office I have ever visited and I will not be returning.

Appointment at 11am for new patient, took an hour to get call in to fill out paperwork. Another hour to go inside and after an hour still not able to see the dentist. It's 3 1/2 hours now and nothing is done!! Front girl receptionist with glasses seems having a bad day or just dislike her black men coworker. Too long of a wait but not being informed of when and why it's taking so long. I ended up walking out after 4hrs wait!! They better not bill me for waiting.

IF YOU HATE THIS BUILDING, Your correct!!! Juan, X-Ray guy takes actions without talking to the dentist. The new assistant are not dentist. I have came to this dentist for 5 years already. Dr zau and Ms. Leo Ortiz For being are not Professional. THANKS Jessica for re-Xray my teeth. They said i had 1 cavity but they re-checked and found 4. I'm disappointed in the bad reviews. But honestly I dislike this place. Please come with the power to ask questions! Do not be scared to ask anything. If they are annoyed, simple leave a review and leave. I give this Orthodontist a 1 stars only because they really are not trying to help. Thank you for an experience to remember. THEY MESSED UP MY TEETH FOR LEAVING A REVIEW!!!! ARTHUR NEEDS PEOPLE SKILLS!!!!!! HE STRAIGHT TREATED ME LIKE A BUM. Jessica is the BEST worker here she need a raise. GREATEST ASSISTANT EVER

My wife just got a bill from Western Dental Services saying she is past due on a contract amount. She has not had any procedures done yet, and she is already being billed. I called their office so they could would explain why we are receiving a bill and the wait time was 30 min. After reading these review i will tell her to cancel all her appointments and find another reputable dentist. Seriously, you are dealing peoples health and this is how you treat them?
