The award winning Westside Cafe is one of Vail, Colorado's restaurant staples. Opening in 2002 and earning an amazing reputation from the local's and vacationers alike as one of the top restaurants to dine at in town. Come on in, relax, smile and stay a while. Prior to today's experience, my reviews have been nothing but excellent. However, the meal I just had was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Our server was the bartender and while I understand that she was very busy, the crowd died down 20 minutes after we were seated and she had time to seat a friend while we were left waiting. Customers who were seated after us received their food before we could even get a second round of coffee. When we did get out food, the eggs were cold and the hashbrowns were burnt. We also did not receive the proper condiments for our waffles. Then we ended up finishing the rest of our plates while waiting for her to come back so that we could ask for syrup. After apologizing and offering to get us new waffles to go and syrup (and that second round of coffee that we never got?!) she instead brought us our bill and told us she comped my coffee because of the wait. One coffee on a $30 tab? We ended up leaving without waffles, the only reason we came to Westside in the first place. As someone who lives here and has been to this restaurant more times than I can count, this service was very upsetting. I think I'll just go to Little Diner next time.

Great place to eat! I ordered White Truffle fries and their Grilled Chicken & Poached Pear Salad. It was truly the best salad I've ever had, and the fries were just as impressive. Willing to visit Colorado again just for that salad.

Great breakfast place. I had the Elvis Waffle with all sorts of good stuff like peanut butter, honey, bananas, chocolate, bacon... Can't go wrong there! Easy to get to and plenty of parking.

Any time of day - good food; friendly, attentive staff; easy to get to with parking right in front.  My  "Go To" place in Vail.  (Their bacon wrapped tater tot appetizers are sinfully delicious!)  Cozy and welcoming in the winter and delightful to sit on the porch in front and look at the mountain in the summer.  (Check their hours before you go as they are sometimes closed in the evening, depending on the season.)

Where to start...the staff, service, and environment stole my heart, and I will now never attend another breakfast spot in the Valley. Natasha's smile when you walk in the front door will warm your heart, and have you have you melting like an ice cream sandwich on a hot summer day. Claire is the most amazing bartender the Valley has to offer. She not only is attentive, but her ability to simultaneously take a staggering quantity of orders, while efficiently dispatching drinks throughout the establishment is truly remarkable; not to mention her innate beauty, both inner and outer. Last but not least the elusive Anna, whom if google allowed I could produce a small novella about. Indeed, her swift graceful motions make her appear as if she was gliding across Arabelle Square ice rink like Nancy Kerrigan (pre-broken legs). In conclusion, Westside Cafe has captured my heart and has opened up my wallet for years to come.
