Located in Lionshead, just feet away from Vail Mountain, Moe's Original BBQ features award winning Bama-style pulled pork, wings, ribs, turkey & chicken plus catfish and shrimp served with Southern sides, tasty desserts, whisky & brews. Really good food, but it was ruined by some really bad service. We arrived before the advertised close of 4pm. We arrived at around 2.55 and we were told they were 'closed'. We then asked if we could take it out instead (this was not offered). Reluctantly the girl behind the counter agreed but then proceeded to be really rude when we did show her that the website was 4pm.. not to be smart, but so that she knew for future and in case it needed to be changed. The rest of the staff seemed nice enough behind the scenes. They also forgot part of an order and by the time we realised it was too late. I would go back for the food, and hope that it was just a bad day for the staff.

Popped in here for happy hour and food after a long day of riding. Could not recommend a place to eat in Vail any more than Moe's. Why? Not only is the food incredible, but they don't charge you an arm and a leg for a meal or drinks (unlike most places in oh holy Vail). The vibe is great, the food is great (and so many specials and sides to choose from), and the prices are right. Thank you thank you.

We decided to take a day trip to Vail and planned to eat here before we left the house since they had such great reviews. They did not disappoint! We ordered the pulled pork and it was so moist and delicious, the potato salad is a must try!

Their southern food doesn't come with southern hospitality. Rude as f employees. Food was good, thus the 3 stars.
