My mother and I stayed one night here before flying out of Des Moines. The staff was SUPER helpful from the time I called with questions about shuttling til the moment we checked out. Jen helped me over the phone and Dakota processed our check in, while we brought our bags in Jen was at the counter and made a point to welcome us by name. Very thoughtful! As you've likely read, they are renovating, and I was told this over the phone before booking. With that comes odors and noise, which we were prepared for, and when we casually mentioned the strong odor in the hall they staff apologized and offered to switch our room the the side that wasn't being worked on, which wasn't necessary, but very kind. Pool is open late and the last hour is "adults only" which is a genius idea. Hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. Someone mentioned the chlorine smell, both my mother and I have asthma and had no issues. Also, our suits were odor free after not being rinsed but hung to dry. I told my mom we might need to come back to visit just to stay here again. Beds were comfortable and room was spacious and clean. The shower/tub sides are a little high and were tough for my mom who is 5'5", but that is our only complaint.

I loved this place. It is being renovating so there is some remodeling type stuff going on. The pool, fireplaces, and hot tub are wonderful. The room was clean, pretty and quite roomy. The bath tub was not very accomadating for older, short people. The staff was wonderful and very friendly. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want on it. I parked my vehicle there and they shuttled me to the airport at no additional charge. I will definitely be returning.

Terrible lodge! The wall paper was peeling off the wall. There was black mold in the bathroom. The carpet was stained and dirty in the room and filthy in the hallway. The bedding had dark brown hairs on it when we pulled back the covers. The decor looked like it was cheap back in the 80s when it was installed. They took my credit card and charged it even though I paid cash for the room! I'm still trying to get my money back, three weeks later. The Internet said the room would be $89 dollars they charged me $110 plus tax or $270 because I "paid" twice. The room smelled awful! Even my 4 and 6 year old boys complained about the mold smell. Do not stay here! There is a super 8 across the street and I wish I had stayed there instead! Terrible experience. This place is a total rip off! The reception staff was rude and unhelpful.

Good location for our semi-cross country trip from Michigan to Colorado. Clean and recently renovated. So nice to have such a pleasant place to stay with our dog.

Wow! I eat a vegan diet and came in for a business conference in one of their meeting rooms. They provided us all lunch, but what really surprised me was that they went out of their way to provide me a vegan meal of fruit and a black bean burger from the restaurant across the street! True customer service right here!
