Vintage, clean, and quiet Mom & Pop Motel just 1 mile north of Devil's Lake State Park in Baraboo, WI. 16 units of various sizes and a large lobby where groups can gather. Each unit is decorated in a different theme. The landscaped grounds include numerous grills and picnic tables, a woodland playground, a firepit in the woods, lounge chairs, and yard games. The Inn is surrounded by rolling farmlands, forests, and fantastic views of the majestic Baraboo Bluffs. No pool at the Inn but you will find a giant, natural, outdoor swimming area just 1 mile south at Devil's Lake or a large outdoor swimming pool with water playground just 1 mile north in Baraboo.

Very relaxing and enjoyable it takes you back to the olden days. They don't have a pool nor cable but, all that can be left be hind. We sit out on the chair watching the birds and other wildlife enjoying a cup of coffee soaking up the sun and fresh air. The owner does have the Inn up for sale, so get there before it gets sold.

So very unique. Definitely not run of the mill chain which I love! Owner super nice and friendly. Each room has its own personality. Grounds are very inviting and harken you to set a spell and get to know your neighbor.

Quaint get away spot Each room has a unique motif. Off the beaten path. Pricing was high for what you got and room cleaning is hit or miss .

Disappointing .. the owner is from out of state (Illinois) and complaining about people in Wisconsin didn't sit well. Rooms were small , dirty , and the TV didn't work. And why the special attention to bed bugs? That was a bad red flag.

I almost didn't call the number on the site to book because I couldn't get a signal in a nearby area, but eventually I did and it was so worth it. The property is so well cared for and very cozy. The grounds are pretty and there are seating areas, picnic tables, and cute decorations everywhere. They've thought of everything, from binders full of local information to complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. Each cabin has a mural and theme decorations. There is a playground, sandbox, cornhole, ringtoss, and fire circle. This is a quiet place to relax and take in the view. Loved it!
