We've been welcoming folks near and far to Wilma's Patio for over three decades. Located on sunny Balboa Island, we're family owned and operated with a team of cooks and servers who've spent years with us honing their craft. We start every morning with a hearty breakfast menu served all day, and then we add wide-ranging lunch and dinner menus featuring everything from burgers and dogs to seafood, Mexican platters, and even pasta. We're the perfect spot for a casual family meal, whether you're visiting Balboa or you call it home like we do.

First, service was great! The staff was very friendly and nice, and was also very polite to each other (good team dynamics means good service), and us. Food was fresh, and hearty at the same time, which it is such a hard combination to achieve. The variety and portions makes the menu very home-like, and comfortable. The healthy options makes you feel like your in a judgment free zone. It’s a great 1st time restaurant, and a good restaurant to return to regularly. Overall a great restaurant to have in your community. I only wish I had a place like this in my community.

"Relaxing, family-friendly eatery" is the perfect description for this gem. We had 26 family members with 7 adults and 11 kids (and I do mean kids). They didn't flinch! They quickly accommodated us altogether in the back room (even though I told them we didn't have to eat altogether if it was too difficult to set-up). The food was delicious, as noted by all the empty plates at the end of the meal. And, the service was quick and helpful. Don't miss out!!!

First time at Wilma's and it was delicious. Service was wonderful and quick! Will be sure to put this on our list to come back to in the future. We ordered the fish and chips and sourdough cheeseburger...Sourdough was amazing! Thanks to Fernando and Sandy for the great service!

Solid, comfortable diner for common American fare. We really enjoyed the Bacon Benedict (good hollandaise, flavourful bacon, perfect soft yolks) and the Balboa Bomber (a specialty dish), though the presentation lacked a bit the food was good. Pros: Location is tops, with Balboa Island shops and walking all around Service here is fast, friendly and very capable Big portions Home-made style food Huge menu of American comfort food, including brunch Fun, upbeat decor that's as charming as corny Fast line, if any wait at all Cons: Parking on Balboa Island is always rough Presentation, but you're in a greasy spoon so deal! The decor may not be for you (depending on taste)

Greatest oatmeal, comfort food in the morning, I've ever had in a restaurant! Service great and can't top atmosphere on Balboa Island!
