Absolutely the best vet clinic in the world. Their vets are highly educated and very compassionate. I have been going here for 20 years. Dr Wilson is the top vet surgeon around. He has operated on all my dogs with great success. I have always been very pleased with Dr. Wilson. Dr. Kerby is the emergency vet at night time. There is no better ER vet. Every time I bring a dog in at night Dr. Kerby diagnosis the problem and my dog is better the next morning. I probably have had at least 10 emergencies over the years and each time I was totally satisfied. I drive 20 miles one way to come to Romeo and it is worth it. I know my dogs will receive the best care from the best vets. The prices are better than any other vet clinic around. They only perform necessary procedures. They use the latest test technology so you get the best results from the tests. The staff is very friendly. They call you the next day to ask how your dog is doing. I have recommended this clinic to numerous people over the years and every one was pleased. Some of them drive over 2 hours to see Dr. Wilson. I have know people that have come from other states.

We’ve been coming to Wilson’s for nearly 10 years. Over the past few years, it has become impossible to make an appointment. Their appointments run weeks out, and your only option to get your sick animal treated in a timely manner is to use their walk-in urgent care. Each time I have had an appointment, I have waited 45+ minutes. Mostly every time (an exception of one time) I have used their urgent care, I have had to wait a minimum of 2 hours. On top of the waiting time, you’ll spend $55 dollars just walking through the urgent care doors as opposed to $35 for an appointment. Yes, they charge $35 dollars to stick a thermometer up your pet’s rear end and call it a “physical exam”. $20 dollars is the cost to use their urgent care and thus, $55 dollars total. Most cases, this charge is actually more expensive than the reason you are coming in, which is absolutely outrageous to me. It makes it seem they are more about making a quick buck than the actual treatment based on their physical exam and urgent care walk-in prices alone. Aside from the wait time and prices, the friendliest people in this vet are the people at the front desks and the techs. I have had ONE vet get down on my dog’s level to pet her and make her feel comfortable. ONE. Each vet that comes in hugs the countertop with their body and looks terrified of my dog. They immediately muzzle her. No wonder she now growls at you when you walk in the door. She’s a German shepherd, not a monster. Get to know her; she’s actually very sweet. My dog has actually become very traumatized from this veterinary hospital because of their mannerisms with her; to prove it, I have tried walk-in vaccination/wellness clinics. Same care provided from Wilson’s but actually more interaction with my dog. Would you look at that? No growling and no muzzle. Shocker *sarcasm*. If you are terrified of a dog and cannot take the time to get the dog to feel comfortable with you, you should not be a vet. Period. Do not get me wrong- all the care given by Wilson’s has been standard. I have gotten what I have needed to make my dog healthy and thus 2 stars, but everything else makes this veterinary hospital quite subpar. I will be taking my dog elsewhere for her primary care with happier vets who would like to take the time to make both of us feel comfortable and make these experiences pleasant.

I have trusted Dr. Wilson and his staff with our dogs since we first started seeing him in 2000 in Washington Township or at the Animal Clinic in Sterling Heights. Both offices are far from my house, but I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. The care is superb and the veterinarians are skilled and compassionate. Many of my friends have switched to these clinics, too because of the reputation of Dr. Wilson and all of his veterinary staff. I highly recommend Wilson Veterinary Hospital and Animal Clinic of Sterling Heights.

Not impressed at all. I took my great Dane to Wilson's based on a referral from my vet and referrals from other Dane owners. They performed a C-section on my dog and delivered 6 of the 13 puppies. The procedure went good and the pups are fine. However they never did any kind of follow up with me to see how the dogs were doing. And when I called to ask about dew claws removal they said to wait till pups are delivered. Then I got advice from many others that dew claws should be removed by 3 days old. Called Wilson veterinary and they said sorry we made a mistake. The pups should have had the dew claws removed by day three they are too old now sorry our Dr and receptionist gave you the wrong info. So now instead of 10 bucks a pup for dew claw removal it will cost at least $300.00 per pup and require surgery. With 13 pup's there is a big difference between 130 and 3600 and sorry don't cover it.

Been taking all of our dogs here sense we have moved to the armada/ ROMEO area. The vet techs and doctors are very nice and seem knowledgeable. However, it is very hard to make an appointment and we usually have to wait almost up to a week to see a Vet and we see a new doctor each time and have to explain my dog’s medical issues over and over to a new doctor. I am however thankful they are a close 24 hour emergency vet in case of an emergency. I have sense switched my dog’s medical care to dr krause in armada and haven’t regretted it.
