Went to check out the waves on Wednesday and decided to do lunch at the Windjammer...hadn't been in years. Our waitress Laurie totally made our day...extremely friendly and helpful. The food was decent but even if it wasn't good our service would have made up for it. Lots of laughs. All wait staff should be as outgoing and friendly and on point as our server Laurie was...actually she seemed to be the only server going above and beyond and running around for all of the patrons. Thanks Laurie..we will see u again for sure!

My friends and I were not impressed at all with the service we received here and won't be coming back. The waitress, Laurie, messed up our orders, charged us for things we didn't get, we didn't have utensils or water until we requested them. Also she would be gone for long periods of time, we had to hunt her down to pay our bill. Then here's the kicker! When I requested a side of chicken I was told I HAD to order the sandwich, which I agreed to. Then what came out instead of a sandwich was a whole meal. Fries, coleslaw, and a chicken sandwich. I already ate my own meal, the side chicken was for my dog. I don't know why I had to order a whole meal for a side portion of chicken. Doesn't that sound a little ridiculous? The whole meal went to waste because all I wanted was chicken! I've never been to a restaurant that wouldn't give me a side of meat. I asked why they gave me a whole meal and she told me the kitchen said there was no other way. Really, no other way? So you can order a side of meat with a salad or nachos, but not alone? Come on! More like you don't know how to put it in the computer. What a waste of money. Please train your staff better. This all could of been avoided, if the person waiting on us knew what she was doing. I would of said nothing, but paying $14 for a meal I didn't want on top of what I already ordered really ticked me off. The bad service I could of brushed off and I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but this was a really bad experience.

Nice outside patio with live music during the day and a band later tonight. Mixed age crowd. The U10 cold shrimp very good. Wings plain as order were acceptable. Enjoying our time here and will be back tomorrow to try some more food items.

Great place with great service! Spent a week in the area and visited 6 times, each time just as wonderful as the first. Vicky, Sarah, Anna and Trev treated us as friends! The Windjammer offers a unique beach dining experience where you can chill at any of their 3 bars (indoor and outdoor), bring the family out, and relax on any of the ample beach seats overlooking the ocean (while eating/drinking). Friendly and attentive staff, amazing menu, and fun bands.

I sat and ordered an appetizer and a margarita while my friend and I were still checking out the menu. Then the waitress asked if I was going to order more food, Because there were more people waiting, otherwise we would need get up and go sit at the bar. And we had only been sitting there for about 5 minutes. so basically they like to ask how much you going to spend after you get seated, or else you have to get up and sit at the bar. Terrible service.
