If this had been my first visit, it would have also been my last. Normally I’d give this place 5 stars. Tonight would have been at best two. Nearly about 45 minutes after being seated and ordering right away pizza, wings, drinks - nothing crazy the waiter came back to “confirm” our pizza order, in that “I totally didn’t forget to put in your order” kind of way. More than an hour after being seated, we were served what I’ve captioned “First offering.” What I saw was a mostly-raw pizza, with three of it’s slices replaced with leftovers from the lunch service. Putting on my best “can I speak with the manager” affect, I spoke with the manager. She saw the problem and took steps to correct them. The waiter came back to apologize, but tried to deflect blame and explain it away. Someone else delivered offering #2, which was to put it kindly, “blonde”. Another way to put it would be “barely” or “technically” cooked. By that time, we’d been there nearly 90 minutes. This was when the waiter started getting surly. The manager didn’t charge us for the pizza, but did for the wings which were fine, but only had more Buffalo sauce to dip and the $3 fountain drinks. I understand a Friday evening rush, and being busy; We tried to get there early to avoid the worst of it. Everyone has a bad day. If the waiter had forgotten to put in the order, or if someone dropped the pizza and had to make a new one, that would’ve been understandable. I had expected the wings and drinks to have been comped at that point, but by that point I just didn’t want to be there any more. I won’t wave you off of this place; the other times I’ve eaten there have been great. I will recommend that you don’t go there tonight. Chances are that you won’t see this review tonight anyway.
The garlic knots were huge, much better than the previous owners, they have changed up the decor inside. The back door was locked and I had to walk through the entire restaurant to get inside next to people who were eating. The pizza was delicious and hot not too greasy. In years past I thought it was going downhill but something has really turned them around. We have eaten there about 3x since to go pizza and each time looks and taste good. We will keep coming for as long they keep pooping out fresh ones! Pleasantly surprised they have kept up excellent quality each time. Of yeah bring your own pen to sign the receipt the checkout clerk do not sanitize their hands after touching their hair and face. Most of the cooks in the back had masks, all the waiters I saw do not wear a mask. For this I’m giving 3 stars.
I’ll share our wonderful experience with pizza in Winter Garden. During our visit to Winter Garden Pizza Company, it was truly a warm welcome and service. Nate, the manager was very accommodating. He guided us as we checked out the menu by showing the popular choices and making suggestions. Had the opportunity to meet Dillon, the pizza chef and he was passionate about what he does and shares his love for pizza making. During our visit, we tried and highly recommend the following during our pizza in Winter Garden escapade. All the dishes were truly delicious. Cheese Pizza – The award-winning hand-tossed pie. All the pizzas at Winter Garden Pizza Company are hand-tossed using freshly made dough. Garlic knots – We enjoyed the freshly baked knots tossed in olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese and served with marinara. Italian Trio – We got to enjoy all three – lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and chicken parmesan. The lasagna layers include pasta, ricotta, mozzarella, and meat sauce. The fettuccine alfredo is made from scratch with cream and parmesan cheese. The chicken parmesan is a lovely chicken breast breaded and fried with marinara and melted mozzarella cheese as a topping and served with spaghetti. Overall, dropping by Winter Garden Pizza Company was truly worth it. The amazing choices made our pizza in Winter Garden experience a memorable one.
I biked all the way to winter garden and stumbled across this place. Me being as indecisive as always, I decided to try the traditional cheese pizza and the cheese calzone. I loved them both but especially the cheese calzone!! Definitely getting it again next time I come here. If you’re looking for good pizza or Italian in general, look no more. This is the place for you.
First time here at WGPCo and we will be back for sure! The service was friendly and quick. All requests for additional toppings, split plates and bills were met with a smile. Food was delicious! The pizza crust was flavorful and chewy. The chicken parmesan was a generous heaping which will easily serve 2 meals. Also had a greek salad which was fresh and cold. Ken G was our server and he was great, very personable and helpful with the menu : Veggie pizza with grilled chicken added to half, Italian sausage added to the other. Leftovers of the chicken Parmesan pasta
Great pizza, pasta and drinks in Winter Garden! The garlic knots are excellent and the pizza was tasty and delicious. Great family friendly place to bring the family when visiting winter garden.
The pizza was great overall but the vegan pizza promises a few types of vegan protein and all we received was a chorizo style one that had a cinnamon aftertaste to it. The plain cheese was actually a lot better.
Wow I can’t believe I hadn’t stopped by here before, it’s a heck of a spot and the vegan pizza is amazing. So delicious and cannolis for dessert were irresistible!Recommended dishesVegan Pizza
I just finished 2 slices of pepperoni pizza from here. I’m from the Philly area. You walk in, they cut slices off a pie on display, put it in the oven for 30-60 seconds and give it to you on a paper plate. Not here. No pizza on display. I looked at the menu and asked - you don’t have pizza by the slice? She said, no we do. So l ordered 2 pepperoni slices. She said - $8.52. Just imagine what l was thinking when she said that. 5-10 minutes later it comes out. l take it back to the brewery down the street and eat. It was ok, but so NOT $8.52 worth for 2 slices. And l suspect it would not be good reheated, which is one of the true signs of good pizza. And the crust was not worth eating. I think this place is worth passing in the future.
Stopped by the WG Pizza Company at the end of our 20 mile ride down the West Orange Trail. Wonderfully decorated tall ceiling almost warehouse style. The food was very delicious and the staff was very helpful and attentive. We had wings and pizza. I prefer a dry rub to my wings however both the pie and wings had a great flavor.
