Story

Wirks Moving & Storage is family-owned and operated out of Marietta, GA. We have a unique set of skillsets as a team, which means that we are able to operate with a leaner, more efficient team.

A partnership emerged when Eric & Jim, as managers from the number one local moving franchise in the country, shared a vision to create a moving company that would provide a van liner quality move at a local mover price. Between Eric & Jim, Wirks has over 40 years combined experience in the moving industry. Having developed experience in the local moving segment, we set out to learn the ins and outs of the long distance side of the moving business. After four years experience with the most successful privately owned Van Liner in the world, we were ready to open our doors for local and long distance moves.

By providing on-going training, higher pay than many of our competitors, and a company culture that rewards excellence, we are able to retain the best in the moving industry. Wirks Moving & Storage has grown from 1 truck when opening its doors in 2009 to 14 straight trucks,2 tractors, 4 trailers, and 2 pack trucks presently. We were able to thrive in the harshest economic downturn and crippling housing market, and owe it all to our people and company culture. If you haven't guessed, we are out to change the public perception of the moving industry...
