I've had this insurance for over 12 years. I needed the roadside assistance at one point and was told I would have to pay for my tow and they would reimburse me. This was very unhelpful but I still stuck with this insurance company. We recently had a big power outage due to the bad weather which left my home uninhabitable. No heat, or electricity in 5 below cold weather. l called the 24 hour emergency number around 1030pm on a Saturday. I didn't get a return call until the next morning around 9.The rep told me Wisconsin mutual does not cover loss of living due to power outages. At this point I really see no reason to keep this insurance and will be searching for new auto and home insurance.
They are not a good homeowners insurance company. They are cheap for that reason. It took us 6+ months to get our claim approved, even with the damaged proof and pictures, and then another 4 months to get the check! Then with our second claim, in the 7 years we’ve had this insurance, we had water damage, and it took them 3 months to send us a check! Then they want to drop us because of 2 claims. They punish you for using the service you pay for! Thank heavens as we were looking into other insurance companies after our second claim! Would never go with the company, and I steer all my family and friends away from them.
Horrible experience, had no problem accepting my premium payments for years, but was a huge hassle when it came time to pay out for my claim. Dropped them for auto insurance also after pulling this stunt. Would not recommend this company.
Absolute worst insurance company EVER!!!!!!!! Had home insurance through them for 8 years, never made a claim and now they drop me for paint peeling around my windows among other things. They seemed quite happy to drop me and I was quite happy to find way better home insurance, not only cheaper but WAY better coverage. I truly do feel bad for people who have to deal with this garbage insurance company. Thankfully, I'll never have to hand another dime over to these crooks! Good luck with these clowns!
What a great company. The person who helped me was very kind and patient with me during a very emotional time. I was never rushed to reply. I got a quick reply to all my questions. We get a discount because the insure both our house and car. We have been using them for years with out a single issue. I am glad to have them as our insurance company.
We paid this company for home insurance and car insurance as many as four cars at a time for many many years. Last week they decided that we had too many claims chalk that up to teenage boys and bad luck. So they're dropping our auto coverage. Well, we’re dropping them altogether. Pretty much a no brainer decision, especially after they announced last month that they're no longer covering hail and wind damage to roofs like they used to.
Such a great quality insurance company! My home, car and being is totally insured. I am GRATEFUL for Jessica Dailey!! Yassssssss! She gets back to you promptly and has the most calming and compassionate customer service. I highly recommend Wisconsin Mutual for whatever you need insured. Please ask for Jessica, her coworker is fantastic as well, he covers for her when she's not available. These two are very well informed and if you need something out of their scope they will research the answers and get back to you within 24-48hrs.
I’m not impressed. They are not a direct bill company. It’s a “you pay now, we pay later” sort of deal. They do have impressive rates for the most part, but recently I have found while shopping around, that there are other companies equally as qualified to handle your auto and homeowners insurance. This was purchased through an insurance agent so maybe they possibly receive some sort of sales commission from pushing them forward. I can tell of the only one experience I did have that required me to utilize my insurance. I broke down about a half hour plus from home. Tried contacting my insurance for help determining if roadside is covered, or how to use it. I got a voicemail, because it was the weekend and they are not available 24/7, then proceeded to get a return call about a half hour later stating that I would be required to get in touch with a towing company to get it back home. Then I would have to pay the tow company, and afterwards submit my claim for reimbursement. I guess if you don’t mind waiting, and wanna support local then this may be your jam. I’m certainly beginning to see, it’s not mine.
Screamed and hung up on my husband because he was going to file a claim for storm damage. The whole purpose for insurance is for protection not to be screamed and hollered at when help is needed, they don’t care about people it’s only about $. He’s never experienced this before working with many insurance companies, this was a first and hopefully a last. They completely forgot the person calling was why they have a job and a business. I would never recommend.
Looks at all their 1 star reviews, this is not just a bad insurance company, they are the worst option around and you should run from them. Absolutely awful in all aspects, even their communication you can expect a few weeks to pass before you get responses. It's a sinking ship that is literally scamming people out of their money. It took months for our hail damaged roof to actually be looked at and "denied", because the first guy who inspected the roof had quitgo figure and they wanted to start the whole process over again. We had multiple roofing companies agree we had damage, along with every other house in our neighborhood, yet they were still able to deny us any coverage stating there was miraculously no damage to only our house They will deny any and all claims, regardless of proof, they will not pay for anything.. To make it even worse, now they just sent us a letter stating that, starting this year they will now be offering to pay out only the depreciated value of a roof from storm damage, since there's been an increase in the frequency of damaging storms over the last few years... How ironic?
