In addition to your basic check ups, we specialize in pregnancies, incontinence, menopause and sexual dysfunction. We are conveniently located in McAllen and Edinburg and all our surgical procedures are performed at The Women's Hospital at Renaissance. I had a lump in my breast and I went in on a Monday to get this checked. I waited for 4 hours to be seen. THEN I was told at this office they would schedule me for a mammogram/diagnostic and the call never came. I had to call back FOUR times to get this appointment. I then went to the other facility to get the tests done and I waited another week and still no call from Women's Clinic on the results. I had to call back to get an appointment to get results from the mammo/diagnostic and still there will be another wait to get an appointment. This is completely unacceptable!! 

If we were in a more affluent area of the state, this low level of medical care and attention would not be tolerated. Simply because we live in a high-poverty area is this facility run like it is. The appointments run AT LEAST 3-4 HOURS behind and the facility is overcrowded in the back with people standing, children crying/screaming (even though there's signs everywhere that children are not allowed past a certain point). I understand it is difficult to find a sitter, however I think the clinic should have options for parents that have to bring their children and have a separate wait area that is kid-friendly. 

The front office staff is not friendly at all and treat you like just another face, another number. We are the reason they have their jobs and the response received at the front desk sets the tone for the visit. The people at the front should be more courteous, more patient, and understanding. They ask questions that are personal in nature including reason for visit and citizenship status. How ignorant is this!

I think this facility has a lot to learn about punctuality and not overlapping appointments just to make a buck. If you have to go to the doctor here, you might as well take the entire day off because you will spend it here...all day, surrounded by rude and impatient people.

The nurses are VERY RUDE. Very robotic and the only time they seem happy is when they're talking about their lunch break. I love dr. Otero, but will be changing drs. I'm just a number here.

Worst clinic EVER! Have been there a couple of times and every single time they take FOREVER. I could be there for one vaccine and im waiting almost 3 hours! With an appointment! I will never come back here again.

It takes a long time to be seen by the doctor but it's well worth it, because the doctors are nice and understanding
