Love the salads and specialty pizzas. Wait staff is informative and helpful especially for first timers. Gave some good advice about portion sharing so we didn't over or under order and each of us had a little to take home. Have gone back now several times.

I absolutely can not say enough about this place. From the food to the atmosphere Joe and his staff make you feel right at home from start to finish. Wether your sitting at the bar top joking with Savannah (she's awesome) or sitting at a table eating some of the best pizza around, you will see why they are always so busy. I highly recommend you try this place as soon as possible!

I am from Chicago which is a pretty good pizza town and have been in many American cities and tried pizza everywhere. I am on a job here and I saw the reviews for this place and I have run out of decent places to eat, but I didn't expect much. Saw the lobster pizza on the menu which I have never seen before and I thought I would try that although expected that the lobster would be overpowered by the other ingredients. I have never eaten a more interesting and tasty pizza in my life. Ever. And in Rockford. The crust is thin and crunchy on the outside but soft and airlike on the inside. The combination of toppings complimented rather than overwhelmed the lobster. Hard to believe, but this was one of the most rewarding eating experiences of my life, and I will definitely go back and tell others.

Last night my bf and I stopped in for the first time. It was a Friday, and during Rockford City Market hours. We expected there to be a wait, which is just fine. We were told 15 minutes. We waited for 20 minutes-ish and had a drink at the bar. Again, that would have been just fine, provided that tables were busy. I counted at least 4 tables suitable for a party of two that sat vacant. We ended us being seated at one of them. It took another ten minutes to see a waitress. She took our order and we receive our appetizer in a good amount of time. It was very good. We order pizza, and that was also delicious. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant 5 stars is because the service was incredibly slow and the bartender was pretty rude. I realize that Fridays are busy, but it shouldn't take a hour and a half to get two drinks (we didn't even get refills), a basket of fries, and one pizza.

Shared a really enjoyable late lunch here on the way back to Madison from Chicago. It's well worth getting off the interstate for a meal -- delicious pizzas and salads, nice bar, comfortable surroundings.
