Wow all these bad reviews has got me thinking! My daughter just started her 6th grade here. I ask her every day when she comes home, "how was school" and she says" good or great. She has had no problems with any of the students so far. She has mention that some of the teachers are mean or rude, they don't let you explain if you feel you were not doing anything wrong. it was something small like talking. So far haven't had the need to go see any of the teachers. Giving it time to give this school, staff & students the benefit of the doubts. Fingers cross! :)

This is a beautiful school. This is officially my third year here and I love it! Although I would love for Woodland Hills Academy to have unique days, such as; super hero day, pajama day, cosplay day, etc.

never enjoyed this school considering the fact that there was fights every week and a kid ended up in the hospital over it. The kids were the worst and constantly argued with the teachers. I went here for 6th-8th and the only positive thing I liked about this school was the after school program. None of the kids were actually racist.. half the reviews talk about how its 80% Latinos but from what I remember it was at least 30% white 50% Latinos and 20% other people of color. The teachers here are fairly nice but the education system here has gone very low... a good number of kids didn't get to walk across the stage because of how they changed the grading system. Overall I would not recommend bringing your kids to this school unless you have no where else to turn.. ((Edit: I forgot to mention that this is a uniform only school.. not sure if they changed that but make sure to get your wallet ready because it isn't cheap))

My child goes to this school. She is in 6th. Everyone is nice to her but she ignores the haters. This is a really good quality school.

Words cant describe how much I resent this school, Its over crowded, 70% latino and kids are incredibly rude. And i can't say every teacher is great either. When I went their I constantly delt with racial slurs, And being picked on. And their discipline system sucks and is ran with power hungry people, One morning I went to home room (advisory) and my teacher's computer glitched and registered me as tardy, When clearly I was not. And around 3rd period I was summond to detention at nutrition and I didnt understand as to why. The moment i arrived at the deans office to rectify the situation, I was told " sit down and shut up" with out being given a fair chance to speak. Basically felt like once he got the "tardy notice" or whatever they call it, He just saw it and ran with it. And I think thats so unfair especially when computers are not a perfect alternative to paper (when it comes to attendance logging etc.) since they are proned to glitching, The part that made me mad most about it was I understand there are kids in every school who basically need that treatment, However if someone is trying to be nice and find out as to why they were called there to confirm if it was a mistake or not, That person should be given a fair chance. And not yelled at and be made to feel like a horrible person. Last if your child is in special ed, I highly do not reccomend this school for that. Its a huge joke and I cant say its very special ed friendly, Id reccomend private school for that. Though im no longer at this school, I advise anyone considering going here or going there just cause its your home school, To really take a look at what your getting your self into. I know every kid says "school is like prision" but this school literally is prision. With uniforms and the whole 9 yards, And not friendly students to make things worse. So if your considering this "College preparatory middle school" try at your own risk. I cant say I find anything preparatory about it. Just a giant sales pitch.
