Story

Woodman’s Markets are a fresh change from the super box multi-product stores like Wal-Mart and Meijer and the national grocery chains like Dominick’s, Jewel, and Pick n’Save. Currently, shoppers access Woodman’s stores all the way from Green Bay, WI to the Chicagoland suburbs of Illinois. Customers rely exclusively on Woodman’s stores for their grocery needs, and there is good reason why. Woodman’s offers huge variety and much lower prices than these other grocery stores and super box operators. In addition to grocery items, Woodman’s stores also feature huge, extremely well-stocked liquor stores, discount gas stations, oil change centers and car washes. This makes Woodman’s a convenient one-stop, grocery-shopping destination.

My all time favorite store for variety and lower prices. They have recently added a nice feature where you order stuff online, pay online, then go pick up items at a specified pickup area. There is a markup on prices for this convenience. You decide if the mark up is worth it since you don't have to do the shopping and you don't have to get out of the car to pick up. Very easy to do. You don't wind up buying impulse things not on your list. You can see the cost totaling up as you add things to your cart so you can stay on a budget easier, keeping in mind the mark up in price. My daughter works full-time and uses this feature all the time. I'm not tied to a schedule and I do both ways.

Woodman’s is basically THE place to shop for groceries if you find yourself in any mid-to-major City in Wisconsin. They’re employee-owned, and this is reflected in their fair pricing. They have huge selections on both perishable and non-perishable food items, however, their deli and produce are often usurped by what you’d find at a nearby Festival Foods. The stores are usually clean and well organized. The only other major gripe is that they frequently have fewer open registers than what’s appropriate for the time frame and they don’t always have the most personable staff.

What can I say, it's Woodman's. HUGE selection can be daunting and don't expect to find any employees in the aisles to help you find anything. That said, selection beyond compare and good prices. The liquor store gets interesting and rare stuff in and has pretty much anything you could ever want.

Woodmans is always updating! Try the "order online" option. You send in your order, they pull and pack it for you!! All you do is drive up and load it in your vehicle! Great option if you're in a hurry.

So much of a selection here it is almost overwhelming. You can't beat the prices either, especially for liquor. There are many things here that I can not find at other grocery stores, expecially exotic produce. The new automatic scanners at the checkout counter are quick and easy to use, and a friendly staff member is always available to help.
