We traveled from Idaho to purchase our very first Lancer Evolution. We were originally going to have the vehicle shipped but since this would be our very first "vacation" we decided to make the trip to Chicago. Xtreme Motorwerks is very impressive. Everything was handled quickly and in an informative manner. To make sure we were satisfied they had done a full video walk around of the vehicle, so we knew exactly what we were buying! We should have just had the car shipped because the vehicle was just as described. We would not have chose any other way to make our first large car purchase. 6 stars if we could!

So you all know if you were looking to pick up a bad ass evo look no further cuz these guys have got it locked down. I spoke with ray for over two weeks before buying my evo 9 and got to know about it before making the drive from Iowa to him. It was the best experience I have ever dealt with for a car salesman experience I was able to test drive my car and few what I was gettin myself into lol. What was said and done to the car was done right and no problems at all for over the month I have had it. I plan on hitting Ray up again to purchase my second evo 8 just because of how amazing they made the situation go down so smoothly. If your looking for anything that has to do with evo to them for your needs they won’t hassle you or put you into something you dont want until you are fully satisfied with what you get. Thanks again for the awesome experience and look forward to doing more business in the future!!!!!

Great experience and would recommend this place. I flew down from San Diego and Ray picked me up from the airport. Very smooth and easy process. Had an amazing drive back in the Evo. Even helped me tape the front end up so I wouldn’t ruin the paint with rock chips.

Impressive. Best car buying experience period. Came here to check out a Lancer Evolution after going to Subaru a few miles away, Subaru should take notes on how to treat people. Real relaxed and no pressure environment. Felt like I was buying a car from a long time friend of mine. Well worth the trip.

Wanted an SRT-4 but none were available in Kansas City so I trusted this dealership and made the trip out to Chicago to purchase a silver neon from them. Little did I know the pistons were already fried in it and the motor completely blew with 0 compression 400 miles later. The dealership blamed it on the fact that I didn't get a tune, but you shouldn't have to dump $500+ on a car you just purchased... They acted like they cared but didn't truly have any intention on making anything right or helping with repairs. Cool dealership, but have a local mechanic go over the car first. Save yourself a major headache and a motor swap.

P.S. 
The dealership is going to respond with a message putting the blame on someone else, just like they have in the below posts from others. Or they'll say they had it inspected by a "trusted source". They knew it couldn't make it a long distance trip. But they're greedy and I overpaid for a car they knew was in poor mechanical shape. Please, they sell some really cool cars. And no disrespect to what they do, but they do some trash stuff, example above^. Have it inspected by someone you trust. Not them.

After reading their response they mentioned a "driving it hard scenario". I couldn't drive it hard because it couldn't hold boost due to either fuel cut or blowout and I couldn't even press the gas more than a quarter throttle without cut as well. It also leaked an entire quart of oil onto the road during the trip. All the proof is in text form between me and the dealer. They're just trying to do cover up damage control.
