we rented here and moved after the 1st year.  we let them know rats lived and kept getting in the house and they acted like we didn't tell them anything.  I even emailed pics of me killing huge 16" rats and baby rats. All in all about 10 rats. I found they were hiding in the walls behind the stove. I covered it and the stench was unbearable after those died but they still kept getting in the house!! we cleaned the house better than it was when we moved in and Mr. Billy still kept our deposit. I didn't fight it. Before I left I told the lady to tell Mr. Billy that God wasn't gonna let him get away with doing people wrong. I wish there was a class action suit against him.  I'm so glad he's out of business to save others from him.....thank you God!

I've been renting from Billy Roper since Sept 2013, its not Jan 2014 ... Since the day I moved in I informed his office that I had no water pressure, I could not flush my toilet properly. and after weeks of them telling me that would send their plumbing company (Adams Plumbing) out to fix it I contacted Columbus Consolidated Government and informed them, I've had a inspector come out twice already and advise them to fix it. they send the plumbing company just enough to "look" but they don't fix anything. now I have a busted pipe and requested for it to be fixed its I'm not WITHOUT water, and image that ! IM 2 DAYS WATERLESS !! Billy Roper is a Scam Artist and a worthless landlord !! I advise anyone PLEASE DO NOT rent from this company, if I could afford to break my lease I would !!

We own a home and Billy Roper was managing it for us. We noticed the rent came in later and later. One month we were told that he had changed the way that he managed the rent. Well, ok, there wasn't much we could do. We are a military family and do not lve in the Columbus, Ft. Benning, Phenix City area anymore. That location is still our home though. It all started out fine and well. We have yet to receive January, February, or March's rent. He has closed his office. He has retained an attorney and they cannot tell me much. I had given Billy Roper our 30 days notice to terminate our management agreement with his company. As of Feb 28th, 2014 at midnight he was to no longer handle our property. Our tenant was mailed letters from the new company stating that she was to go through them and that they would manage our home. Mr Roper, for whatever reason, took March's rent. Did not forward it to the new company we provided him with. We do not know where this money has gone. I have reported him to the BBB. I am filing a complaint with both the Alabama and Georgia Real Estate Commision. Hopefully he has closed his doors for good and will no longer be able to screw over anyone else.

I will not comment on the office staff but Billy Roper is Satan on earth.  He will not fix anything, he will threaten you for calling him after hours and he will treat you like dirt.  I have no idea why they are in business at all.  When we were signing our lease he actually said to us that the owner comes by frequently so we needed to watch ourselves!  We are a 40 something year old couple who own houses in other states, not college kids who will be leaving beer bottles all over the lawn!  When we called because there were mushrooms and black mold growing in the kitchen, we were told they were not responsible for anything "growing out of the floor".  

Any business who has to have a sign in their office that says do not threaten to kill us or any of our staff has a serious problem.  Run, run, run away from these people.  I would rather be homeless than give them a penny!

If you or anyone you know are planning on renting or buying a home in this area, DO NOT use 'Your Home Source' or Billy Roper. He is a snake, a thief and a liar. EXTREMELY impossible to work with and he seems to have it in his mind that women are inferior to the male of our species and have no idea of what they are talking about when it comes to buying/renting a home.
PLEASE don't get wrapped up in the situation we unwittingly put ourselves in.
