What makes stop here is the great attitude, service, friendliness and quite frankly the smile of the people who work there. I would like to thank you all for your great work attitude! The cake, bread snd scones are great too.

I am posting this review as an alert to the manager. I have been going to this bakery and deli for years and the food has always been of the highest quality and the service efficienct and courteous. Unfortunately this morning (January 6th, 2018 at 6:35 am) one server was neither efficient or courteous. My server, a particularly Inattentive young man, only served me after I spoke up. I had been waiting for over five minutes while I watched other people who came after me get service first. I spoke my order clearly. After waiting not so long for my order (they other staff were their usual efficient selves) he gave me the wrong order. When I explained to him that the order was wrong he corrected me and said that this is what I ordered. I then raised my voice to restate my order and he scolded me for raising my voice. I then said that I was increasing my volume because he clearly didn’t hear me the first time and that I was concerned he wouldn’t hear me this time if I didn’t. He eventually stopped arguing with me and placed my order - but the damage was done. I do not appreciate waitstaff correcting me when they get my order wrong - not to mention the fact that I am old enough to be his mother. The customer is always right. While I don’t want him to be fired, I would appreciate the manager giving him a reprimand and retraining him in a way where he can serve his customers right. As someone who is in the entertainment business, I generally am polite to all in the food service industry because most likely they are one of us and many of us remember when we had to work this kind of job to support ourselves until we could become established artists. However, there is no excuse for ignoring a customer and rude behavior. What upset me the most was not that my order was wrong, people make mistakes all the time, but rather the behavior exhibited toward me by the young man when I told him so. Aditionally, people have a limited amount of time before boarding trains. Although I allotted plenty of time for a normal turnaround for my order I almost missed mine because of this person. I will note, that the cashier and the other person who made my new order were their usual polite and efficient selves. I intend visit Zaros again - but I certainly hope I don’t get this lad waiting on me the next time.

Service is always excellent. Tons of bagel, bread and croissant choices (I recommend the pretzel croissant with egg and cheese). Woman was very friendly and reviewed all the deserts and bagel options they have, so 'sweet'! Perfect quick stop when getting on or off the train. Lovely little cupcakes and these cool homemade fig bars that I want to try. Enjoy!

I went to the zaro bakery location in Penn station today while I waited for my train to board. I ordered a medium French vanilla coffee with soy milk and a corn muffin. The muffin is great but the coffee is too cold to drink 😣. I most likely won't purchase coffee from any zaro location in the future.

Excellent customer service considering they carter to a harried commuter crowd. I am vegan and most of their bagels are not made with eggs. Double check to be sure and I order peanut butter which is vegan. They have soy milk to accommodate vegans and non dairy consumers and the staff are professional and very kind. You may want to check your order before you step away to make sure they got it right because it is a fast paced staff trying to keep commuters happy.
