After being in my bookmark for so long, I finally got to try Billy's as I was around W14th street doing my nails ;) 

Most of the reviews raved about the red velvet and since red velvet is my favorite cupcake, I decided to try. Their frosting is on par. Very moist and creamcheesy- mix of vanilla tasting goodness. It was the best red velvet I ever had. Definitely beats Martha's. The cupcake itself wasn't dry and was fresh and moist. I went around 3pm if that helps. 

I can't say anything about anything else but their red velvet really is THAT good.

Cute bakery with big selection. Tried three different types of cake, but felt they were all a bit too sweet. Space is nice though.

I have not been disappointed with anything I  have tried here. The red velvet cake, blondie, and various cookies have all been very good.
In the summer I like to lay down on the grass under the sunshine  at Chelsea Piers, then come here for a good glass of cold lemonade. A  bench in front affords me an opportunity to watch people walking up and down 9th Ave while I sip my cold drink or devour something sweet. 
The staff has always greeted me with a smile and been patient during the few months when I had no voice. Well worth a visit.

Over priced cupcakes and brownies. Dry and uninspiring. The cheesecake was mediocre though a little light like it's German great uncle.

My lady and I stopped by here after lunch one day and didn't have much time or stomach space left so we just got the red velvet cupcake. Although we didn't get to try anything aside from the cupcake, the cake was super moist and the frosting is one of my favorite frostings. Light and thick at the same time. The cream cheese frosting eats like a light buttercream but tastes like a thick cream cheese frosting. The best parts of a light buttercream frosting without the overly greasy  mouth feel. We will definitely come back for more.
