A&M is my go-to neighborhood bike shop. Carl knows and loves all things bike and is more than happy to share that knowledge and joy with you. You got a bike question? Carl has the answer. For the last 4 years they've done everything that I couldn't do myself on all of my bikes. The work is great and, IMHO, a little cheaper than the next guy. This is the local bike shop you've been looking for.

With most of cool shops in tower grove gone, I'm glad this one has stuck around. These guys know their stuff and do good work.

Carl is super knowledgeable on all things bikes and can tell some cool stories from his old racing days. We've been going to this shop for years since we first got bikes and didn't even know what type of tubes to buy to current. Highly recommend this shop!

Quality work done on-time and with good communication. Prices are on the low side of "average", on work/parts that they stand behind and support. I've done business with three other bike shops in the area -- and some of those were good shops in their own right -- but A & M is the one I go back to and recommend to others; they're in the sweet spot for good work, good service, and good price. Karl's done work on my bikes for two years now; always professionally, promptly, and with good communication -- and his experience and advice has helped me almost as much as his wrenching. He's an old-school "cyclist's cyclist", and doesn't seem to mind taking the time to discuss your options with whatever purchase/modification you're considering. I've seen him bring this same attention and enthusiasm to helping novice cyclists as well as to hard-core roadies. A & M is a two-man shop, and I appreciate the extra attention and care to their work that you wouldn't get at bigger shops. The two times I've ever had (very minor) issues or wanted adjustments made to work that was done there, they were addressed immediately and with no hassle. In two years I've never once walked away from the shop feeling unhappy about the work, price, or service. That's honestly a very rare thing to find in a bike shop; so I feel like I should give them their due in this public space. Highly recommended.
