Story

A Plus was established in 1999 in Colorado Springs, CO. Shawn Christie, and his wife Amy, are A Plus Insuranceits owners. We are a family owned and operated insurance broker. We offer a full range of products to service a wide spectrum of personal insurance needs, as well as business insurance needs. It is our objective to provide quality, low-cost coverage to meet the needs of our clients.

OUR PRODUCTS
We specialize in personal auto, home, and motorcycle insurance, but also include boat, RV, and business liability insurance. At A Plus we have the ability to shop multiple companies, to try to find the most competitive rate for a client’s situation. We also have many carriers that can offer SR22 filings on both auto and even motorcycle policies. If you do not have a vehicle, we also offer NonOwners or even Broad Form policies. Our goal is to provide solutions that better protect the future of our customers. Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence, Passion, and client engagement are tenants of success at A Plus Insurance. Above all, we make sure that our interests are aligned with those of our clients.

IN THE BEGINNING
Our company originally began as a “Life and Health” shop, but experiencing sheer encouragement from our existing clientele, we began to seek companies that could offer affordable auto insurance coverage. Progressive Insurance was the first company to issue us an auto contract (and we are still very grateful). As we started to grow our book of Property and Casualty clients, we slowly added additional companies including, but not limited to Bristol West, Mendota, Viking, Dairyland, Travelers, and much more. Once again, at the urging of our clientele, we began to offer Home Owners, motorcycle, business insurance coverage. Ironically now we sell very few “life or Health” policies at all and are almost exclusively a Property and Causality brokerage. We constantly strive to do the research with different companies to find out if they are going to be a good fit for out clients, both from a financial and coverage standpoint. Another goal of our agency is to provide outstanding customer service, prompt responses, and the ability to answer questions.
