My mom drove down towing a trailer, from MN.  They developed a leak in gas tank. A 1999 GMC Sierra.  They arrived early Saturday morning.  the Staff Rob, Breanna and great Mechanic Jason.  Not only did Breanna transport my mom and friend back to the trailer, they happily took their 4 dogs too.  Rob was able to get the parts from Phoenix and Jason had everything taken apart and was ready to install the new gas tank and new fuel injector.  They were able to get it done before end of day. (4 pm) Breanna came down and picked up my mom and friend to take them back to the truck.  Thanks to the team for going above and beyond to help my mom, and make the best of a frustrating situation.

I broke down on the freeway.  The operator said I was a priority call since I was in a dangerous spot. They arrived in just under 2 hours.  I'm glad I was a priority.  
I wasn't planning on going here but I got a free coupon for my check engine light from the driver.  After 3 hours, I got a call about the condition of my car. Turns out it was just a flat tire.  I knew I needed another one since I was already on my full size spare.  I asked for 2 tires.  I also asked for a quote on the cracked windshield.
Around 30 hours later, my car was ready.  Good news is that the check engine light was due to my missing gas cap.  Bad news is that they charged me for the diagnostic.  Apparently there is a difference between what the coupon said and what they had to do.  Sounds like BS.  
The spare was still on my car.   Turns out my spare was in better shape than my worst tire, which they put in the trunk and didn't ask me if I wanted it replaced.  Also, no quote on my windshield replacement.
I woke up in the morning to a flat tire.  I wrote this whole review while waiting in their lobby.  It took 3 hours to properly put on the tire for the second time.
And yes, they still won't give me the $38 they over charged me.

This shop is a terrible representation of AAA as a whole. Avoid at all costs until a sign saying "under new management" is hanging outside.

My girlfriend unfortunately had her car towed to this shop after her battery died a few days after we replaced it with a fresh one. She been a AAA member for years, and the tow truck driver suggested the AAA shop as a good place for repairs because of the good discounts for being a member. But after getting stuck there, we realized it was anything but that. 

With how the car was acting it was obvious that it needed an alternator (and autozone could have told us that for free) but Todd and friends at AAA Chandler got us that info for the low low member rate of $50 for a diagnostic. The $50 charge alsogave us a big list of suggested repairs (including saying the oil was dirty, but had been changed a few weeks ago and has less than 1k miles on the synthetic oil), but to change the alternator alone they wanted $397 out the door. Rob at the desk tried to justify the $232 cost of the alternator alone because it was a quality part and comes with a warranty. He said it was a rebuilt OEM Denso alternator, which sells to anyone (no genius mechanic diploma needed) at NAPA for $180. When I brought up the price at NAPA, he tried to excuse it by saying they get their parts from a more trusted supplier, and said NAPA often re-labels parts so you aren't always getting what you pay for. A shop getting paid $52+ for making a phone call to schedule a delivery with a supplier is pretty steep, but we do live in a capitalistic society and they know you are stranded without a car, so it could have been way worse with markup over 100% like some shops with questionable ethics do.

After leaving the shop we realized the alternator was not OEM, but rather it was a cheaper rebuilt aftermarket alternator with a part number on it from - guess where? Good ol trusty NAPA (I have no issues with NAPA, and have always trusted them myself). Guess how much that alternator is at NAPA? $112 to the public or less with a corporate account. So now the $52 markup is now a $120 highway robbery.

After talking with Todd the manager about the lies about what part was installed (a conversation he was sitting 5ft from), and the more than 100% markup on a part that is simply ordered over the internet or phone he comes up with a few solutions. My solutions were either to have the Denso alternator installed like they said they did or refund us for the difference in cost between the alternators and we would happy, but his solutions were a little different. The first solution he came up with was we could pay $80+ to have the Denso alternator installed and the second solution was we could bring in our own alternator and have it installed at the normal labor rate again, which was $110.  What a stand up business and terrific management.

I took the car in for a routine oil change. Even though I had an appointment, it took an hour. I asked what was taking so long and was told this was a result of the superior service being given my car and how they were going over it carefully, looking for any problems. After I had the oil changed, I brought it home and noticed the car starting to drip oil in 2 places close to the front of the vehicle. No car I've ever owned has dropped oil and this car is no exception. 

I took it back to AAA Repair. They kept it about 30 minutes. When the representative came out to talk to me, I questioned him closely about it. He didn't want to talk about the cause of the leak, saying, "it's fine" and "the oil level is fine" and going on about "condensation" and how "wet" it was next to the filter. I asked him if he was trying to convince me that condensation from my air conditioner had resulted in an oil leak. I never got an explanation for the leak or what they'd done to repair it, just more assurances that everything was fixed now. At no time did he take responsibility for AAA West Chandler Repair failing to properly tighten everything after the oil change. No apology for my lost time, or how I now have to scrub oil off my driveway. 

I guess because I'm a woman, he thought he could convince me that water can turn into oil. I'm disgusted. I can take my car into one of those quick lube places if I want sloppy work.
