On 11/11/15 I had my transmission in my 2007 Nissan Altima replaced by what I was told was a “new” transmission. The original had 150,000 miles on it before it died and the new only has 47,000. I looked around and found out that Nissan does not sell brand new transmissions, only re-manufactured. That being said I don’t blame them for putting the only option sold to them in to my car. The problem I have with these people is that it was sold as new and explained to me why  CVT Transmissions can not be fixed only replaced with “new”. If I had known that the only option would be a remanufactured one and not a “new” one like which they claimed, I would not have sunk all of my savings in to it. Instead I would have spent that almost $4,000 on a “new” car.

Edit: I do appreciate you responding. I have the bill still and no where does it say remanufactured, how would a customer know the difference? I was talked in to a "new" transmission after being told by Hayden that CVT transmissions can not to rebuilt. What Hayden failed to mentioned either intentionally or not was that they don't actually sell "new" transmissions only re-manufactured ones. I only opted to repair the car because I was told it was "new", out of fear of spending so much money on junk(which is the case today) I would not have fixed the car.

Recently, I took my 2004 Mercedes with transmission issues and within two hours problem was solved. I highly recommend everybody if having transmission problems. Thanks to AAMCO Transmissions of Bristol for making my life easier.
