I headed into this store on a whim, and walked out with a new pair of running shoes without any regrets. I am, by no means, an avid runner (5k has been the most I've ran), but it's a hobby I would like to invest more time in once the weather gets nicer. Eileen approached me to see if I needed any assistance, and I expressed my interest in getting back into running. She evaluated my gait, measured my feet, and brought out several pairs based on what she examined. I was able to test run on the treadmill that is located in the corner of the store. After several trials with different pairs, I finally settled on a pair of Brooks that I absolutely love! I just ran in these shoes, and felt an appreciable difference in how I run, and experienced less tension in my feet, knees, and even my lower back. Eileen was never pushy and offered helpful feedback throughout the entire process. Being someone who has ran the Boston marathon several times, I trusted Eileen's guided expertise on a solid pair of running shoes. Great customer service and a decent selection of athletic apparel and gear.

After persistent leg and foot pain from 2 different pairs of shoes, one purchased at another local shoe store and one online, I returned to Aardvark for some advice.  Felt a little silly carrying in 3 pairs of old sneakers, but when Brian sat down with me, listened to my issues, evaluated my stride, asked about my running goals, and thanked me for bringing in my old shoes so he could better serve me, I knew I was going to walk out with a great pair of sneakers.  Went for a run when I got home, and my feet felt amazing!  Ran the same 3 mile trail I ran in my old shoes 2 days ago, and chipped 30 seconds off my miles.  If you want an excellent fit, I highly recommend Aardvark and Brian.  The last time I had sneakers this comfortable was 6 years ago, when I was last fitted at Aardvark.  I ended up buying that same shoe 4 times until the brand changed the fit.

I know people tend to buy everything online these days. But a visit to this store is totally worth it. They ask you to walk and their trained professionals observe how you walk / run and recommend the best sneakers for your needs. The professionals there are very knowledgeable and immensely helpful. Their prices are the same as what you would find online. So it is totally worth the visit to get a great fitting pair of workout / running / cross training sneakers.

I just moved to the area. I have always had my tennis shoes fitted. They were wonderful. He listens to what I liked and needed in a running shoe. and they gave me some recommendations for restaurants to try. Then we were in town on Saturday and it was 15 minutes before closing and my husband decided he needed new tennis shoes. They were so helpful and knew exactly what type of shoes he needed. I would highly recommend them for your running shoe needs.
