I have used Above and Beyond Automotive on 5 vehicles so far and they have well exceeded my expectations every time. Not only are they fast but they know what they are doing and do it right the first time. There name suits them well. Very Happy Customer

Would NOT recommend if you want a place that is interested in customer service - BEWARE - does not disclose basic 'diagnostic' fees upfront or even after multiple conversations. 

Bought my van on a recommendation from Holts Transmission to get water pump replaced. When I dropped it off I was told it would be about a week for it to be done - which I was okay with. Got a phone call that they looked at the car & motor needed to be replaced - we were okay with it as long as it was a used motor because it's an 2005 older van & not worth getting a new motor in it. Husband had to follow up twice to check status.  Over a week later & they told us they could not find a used motor, but could put a new one in with service for over $5k (we have a '05 van) - ummm not worth it. Went to pick it up & was then AND ONLY THEN told that there would be a $110 "diagnostic fee".. I am all for paying people for their time and effort but after 4 phone calls and a face-to-face drop off there was nothing ever said about 'hey, we are gonna charge a fee to take a look at this just so you know". 

Would have been nice to know from the get go. 

I don't mind paying for work but seems like they didn't want to take the time or effort to even try and fix it & then to charge for a diagnostic fee.  Just rude. Bad way to do business.

"Above and Beyond" has always been a top notch shop, from the owners to the mechanics. Excellent work and great value from a team of professionals, along with honesty, integrity and excellence in service. Martin and Ricky are probably the most knowledgeable in the Low Country. I highly recommend "Above and Beyond" for service on any vehicle!

First of all, I would like to say that "Above and Beyond" is Christian owned and operated so you can rest assured that the service you receive will be done by honest professionals whom you can trust!  I am absolutely confident that no car dealership or independently owned repair shop could or would have provided the excellent service that I received from this business!  I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Above and Beyond" to anyone seeking automobile repairs; this business and its owners are second to none!  J.Stone, Summerville, S.C.

Brought my Xterra here twice. The first time I brought it the mechanic told me over the phone they would be able to look at it that day and let me know something. I didn't hear anything back for days. Tried calling a few times and it went to voicemail and then finally a young lady picked up. She didn't seem to have any knowledge of my car or it's problem and wasn't able to provide me with a answer at the time. she asked me to call back. Finally i was able to get a hold of the mechanic and get the work done. He claimed they had the wrong phone number for me. The second time i took it in I made sure to ask again if they would be able to provide information about my car within a day and he told me "yes". This was the same guy. We never received a call. Me and my wife picked the car up and took it to another mechanic. When you work in Summerville and drive to and from Mt Pleasant everyday, a reliable mechanic and vehicle is imperative. They might be good mechanics, but their customer service is horrible.
