Expensive and long wait time for a table (1.5 hr). Food not as tasty as the popularity this eating establishment has acquired. Wait staff rushed.

I always love the food at Abuelo's. It's fantastically fresh, hot and delicious. The atmosphere is wonderful as well and even in such a big restaurant, the seating in the booths is intimate.

ZERO STARS!! They are not even on the spectrum of a star rating. Absolutely HORRIBLE!! The service was so awful, I truly could not believe we were in a restaurant. Raven was the servers name. But, EVERY waiter and waitress in our section treated every customer with UTTER DISRESPECT. VERY POOR SERVICE. We were told verbatim, "If you catch us after 8:30, we are all in a bad mood." The establishment closes at 10:00. I am in the service industry and this made me sick to my stomach to see such POOR QUALITY SERVICE!

Good food but if you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is not the place. It's a tex-mex style. My last visit here was decent, our waiter was good and attentive and the food was fine but I did find plastic half way through my enchilada plate and when I informed the waiter he just said "oh you should've said something before so I wouldn't charge you for that plate" in my opinion he should've just handled it regardless of when I told him about it. I wouldn't necessarily go eat there again but wouldn't mind it if it weren't my choice.

Best Mexican food in Midland, which is saying something since half the restaurants here are Mexican food. Great for date night, family dinner, or even a work lunch. My husband and I enjoy sharing a pitcher of their awesome margaritas. They don't take reservations though and get VERY busy so get there early to beat the rush.
