I love this store. Make sure Ted takes care of you. For example, I called to inquire about the price of an item and Ted even mentioned what  deals I could get with my Ace rewards card.

I love this store! The staff are always friendly and so helpful. This Ace store will treat you like family.

I have been here almost daily since moving to the old North End. Several of the staff already know me.  I would have rated ace very highly until now. I was in the middle of a project and needed one more item. I arrived at Ace at 7:56.  I know they close at 8 and people need to go home.  But I needed one item to complete my project. I know where it is and would have been to the register before 8 pm. The woman at the door stood with her arms crossed shaking her head NO. I went to Lowes. Arrived at lowes at 8:03.  I guess it's not that far to lowes.  I think ACE may have lost a new customer.  

I understand people work hard and need to go home.  I understand that.  I do too.  But instead of feeling Welcome and having an opportunity to embrace business, I feel alienated.   Maya Angelou said people remember how you made them feel.  ACE. I feel slighted and unappreciated.

This is our local store and we love it. Service is friendly and they always have what we need. Returns are convenient.

Your experience at this store depends upon who helps you.  I have shopped there for many years.  I live two blocks away.  Some folks are very helpful and others.... well not so much.  As many have noted, if you get the grumpy , inattentive, rude woman at the front....well then you just bear it.

Lots of other good folks though.
