Staff wandering around the store are always very knowledgeable and willing to help. Prices are a little high but its a convenient location and I don't mind. The three cashiers gossiping behind one register look at the their phones and talk inappropriately (today one was showing my cashier her phone screen saying "look at this fuquing chiiiit"). I have a suggestion, aside from the obvious issues with the cashiers: Today I bought a handful of few of various small things (screws, driver, etc.). The cashier rang me up and handed me my receipt with my items scattered on the counter. I asked for a little bag, like the hand sized one, and she said it was 11 cents. So I had to run my CC again for 11 cents and was sassy about bagging. How about some little free bags at the front since you are a hardware store? The grocery stores get away with free plastic bags for produce and wrapping chicken so I'm sure SF will be ok with it. I'm not going to throw a handful of bolts in a trader joes bag, after all.

@xiocalderon first of all, I don't think the store is any way "over priced" like you say. You want cheap?! Go to Goodwill. Second of all, I find it very disrespectful of you to say that the lady "looks like a lesbian" when you don't even know...that's racist!!! I've been a shopper at Ace for a very loooooong time, and I have never had any problems. I have always found what I needed and received good customer service. Now, I don't know about you, but seems to me that you were just having a bad day, and just took it on these associates. Overall, I think you just love to exaggerate things. And let me tell you, when you walk into a store and have nice attitude, associates will be gladly to help you. I'm pretty sure the associates get a lot of crap when it's not even their fault. Understand this...THEY JUST WORK FOR THE COMPANY, THEY DON'T MAKE THE FINAL DECISIONS. So it will be nice if the next time you go (because they ALL say "I'm never coming back" and next time you know they're there) which I'm pretty sure it'll be your case BE NICE AND LESS JUDGEMENTAL...

Will never come here again. Everything is over priced. The staff are messing around with each other. Little girl at the register very immature talking about her teen court and days off, long lines and employees just walking around. Ask for a manager and some lesbian looking lady comes, not the manager and is very rude. Tells the manager something thru her walkie talkie thing n at that point I just leave. Avoid this place and go somewhere professional!

Staff here are lazy idiots. I can't understand why the owner would pay that many people to stand around. OWNER: Here's an idea, fire about four of them and keep two good ones. Now you can save yourself several thousand a year.
