It's hard to decide on a number of stars. Once when I went in, the staff was really knowledgeable and helpful and walked me through what I needed to do. However, today, I was sold the wrong stuff and had to go back and return it. I like to go to Ace because my experience at several different Aces has been that they have competent staff who are willing to help you find the appropriate items and help explain how to fix things. I use You Tube to learn how to fix things around the house, but often you still need guidance when getting the parts, sealants, etc. I hope this was a just a frustrating fluke today. Ace is usually so much better than Loews and Home Depot where the employees don't know where anything is or what parts or tools are called or how to fix anything.

While I love,my local ace. Today I needed to buy a new,outside trash can (there in the garden center ) I tried to lift one off the HUGE stack. Didn't happen. Went back inside and said I need help. NOT One store employee could assist me. I left. Guess I'll go to Lowe's
