Better be ready to do deal with a billing nightmare from here. Not to mention their doctors are pretentious a-holes with a degree and an ego but no understanding of how it is to be human. They also have no problem telling you that since you don’t have insurance, get out. I wish I was paraphrasing. But no. A doctor here actually told my mother that she wasn’t eligible for anymore help because she didn’t have insurance unless she wanted to fork over a large sum of money right now. She had a 7mm kidney stone. She was in excruciating pain. The doctor even told her it could possibly block her urethra and be potentially life threatening. But he was so concerned about getting his paycheck, he told her after a day she was being discharged because she doesn’t have insurance. Mind you, she had been in and out of this hospital once before and let go. Eff this place, they don’t care about you or your health. They care about screwing you over in the billing department and making you feel like scum. My mom cried the other day even thinking about it. We may not be filthy rich where we can afford ridiculously expensive health insurance but we’re hardworking human beings who deserve respect. Won’t be coming back.

This hospital has changed greatly over the last few years, apparently, because when we moved here nine years ago, no one had anything nice to say about their own experiences there. We have never had a bad experience with this hospital. They were going through a massive remodel at the time of our first visit to the ER, and it's still continuing currently, although it's much farther along now and is more behind the scenes rather than taking over the ER, which is what we experienced in our first visit. But even at that visit, we were extremely impressed with the professionalism, and the compassion and kindness extended to us by everyone we encountered. My husband was taken care of quickly and thoroughly, and we never once felt that we were being rushed out the door after receiving inferior care. Since that visit, we've visited several times with various ailments, including a visit two years ago, where my husband was transported in an ambulance and was close to death from undiagnosed diabetes, with a blood sugar number of 2600. That is not a typo. He was there for over a week, and we are convinced that because of the superior care he received, his life was saved. To those who still think this hospital and it's staff are anything less than stellar, I think you will be pleasantly surprised the next time you visit.

EVERYONE was helpful and friendly!! Only drag was the 7 hour wait in the ER for a room. Hospitalist was great. For a vacation that took a left turn, I couldn't have asked for a better stay in the hospital for my sister.

Last Friday night (around 8:30pm), my husband had to take me to the ER with a pretty bad cut on my index finger. When we walked in, the waiting room was full, & I thought "Oh NO, we're going to be here for at least 4 - 6 hours!!! But, that didn't happen...YEA! The ER staff were professional, friendly, kind, and on "top of things". I ended up with a very friendly, & humorous PA-C (Ryan Tait), who cleaned & stitched up my finger (6 stitches) & us out of there in about 2 hours!!! We were totally impressed with this ER & the staff!!! Hopefully, I won't be cutting anymore fingers, but if I do, & it's after my doctors office is closed, I won't hesitate to go back to this ER!!

Careful, they will send you a big bill a full YEAR AND A HALF later and then have the gall to make it due in 15 days. Good luck recalling what you paid already or even still having records. Oh and your insurance won't let you contest after 30 days. There's a nice Christmas surprise for ya.
