It is with deep sorrow that I post this review.  I was referred to Affordable by some friends who have been using them for years and spoke very highly of them.  I needed some major work done to my car, an entire engine swap.  This is something I would have done myself in the past but I no longer have the space to do it.  The work itself was done somewhat timely with only a few hiccups, to be expected but it wasn't until I got my car back and drove it for a few days when I noticed the problems.  First off, the radiator overflow line was not secured so it was caught up in the fan and destroyed.  The electrical lines for the fuel injectors were not secured well either and were pressed up against the headers causing them to start melting.  I found a few various harnesses that were not plugged in as well.  The car also started to no longer shift properly.  The torque converter was replaced but not properly filled up all the way.  The real issues started to show when the car began to overheat.  I had the water pump, radiator, radiator hoses and all other cooling parts replaced.  When I went to diagnose the issue I found that the cooling system was not flushed (because the water was still rusty from the heater core) but also filled up with plain water.  The transmission cooler lines were also kinked against the steering rack not allowing flow to the transmission.  Overall I expected some unforeseen circumstances to occur when doing such a large job but the lack of attention to detail for the thousands of dollars spent was very disappointing.

I am shocked by any comments on here that don't give these guys 5 stars. The five stars goes beyond the knowledge. I'm familiar enough with vehicles having worked on my own cars over the years and I testify to the depth of knowledge these guys have. But beyond that, the 5 stars is earned by the honesty, integrity and customer service. I have had all three of my vehicles taken here over the past 12-months. They continue to impress after each visit. They have stayed late, spent time explaining issues and diagnosing problems, and most importantly, they've consistently treated my wife and daughter with respect when I'm not around. Although I live an hour away, as long as I live in the DFW area, this is the only shop that will touch my cars. Don't believe me, look at the negative comments and you'll see the owner himself has reached out to try and offer customer service. My only wish is that I found these guys sooner instead of overpaying at the dealerships for so many years.

Great customer service and always do a great job. They inform you of issues needing attention as mechanics should but aren't pushy. Great job gents!

I went to this place to fix one issue. Somewhat they fixed the issue, but they introduced new issue in my car. So now constantly i hear the noise in my car. I observed that they are careless and no respect to customer . There is no value for the money i spent over there. Their service is not cheaper than others(including oil change). Sorry i don't recommend this place to visit.

My car was in need of a oil change,  I tried Walmart two times,  but the wait was always 2 hours.  I called this place and they gave me an appointment at my convenience.  I got there and waited for about 40 min.  I think it took this long because I also needed a safety inspection.  But the waiting time was not bad at all.  The waiting room has a TV,  and a little table with crayons for the little ones.  The stuff was very nice and friendly.  I highly recommend this place.  Great prices and they work fast!!
