I went there for the first time and had my appointment get cancelled, which is fine. They asked me if I could come in earlier which I did. So I’m there and I fill out my paperwork on how I discovered them when the guy comes to start my hair. I am a mixed women with super curly hair which is very noticeable upon looking at me. The guy decides to wash my hair, sit me in his chair then proceeds to tell me that it’s been a while since he’s done African American hair and that he doesn’t have enough time to do my hair. He then proceeds to say “I’m sorry, don’t be mad” while I leave with soaking wet hair.

I have been going to alon for about 20 yrs. I'm hard to please and he cuts ny hair perfectly. The shop is lovely & a great selection of products. Mike runs the front & makes you feel welcome.
