I was sent here on a 72 hour hold against my will and I ended up staying for about 5 days. Ironically enough I wasn't a harm to myself or others it was for "precautions". Immediately when they took me to the adult unit 1 I knew it wasn't where I was supposed to be. They had me with their most severe patients for most of my treatment. Meanwhile I behaved and complied the entire time but it did not matter. I had 2 different male patients walk into my room while I was in there and one of them even took a shower in my restroom. When I informed the staff of these incidents they did nothing about it and said it was impossible. When I asked them to check the cameras they claimed they would have to asked admission. Not all staff was terrible but there were quite a few who were very rude for no reason. Also my doctor was terrible! He would see me for 3-5 minutes ask me if I knew why I was there and would push medication on me after I said I saw no need at the time and wanted to do that with my outside psychiatrist. I was under more stress and felt worse after my "treatment" than I did before going there.

I went to this location VOLUNTARILY because of not knowing what was going on with my body at the time. Dealing with anxiety and depression and only being 15 years old..I was scared. I was told this place would help. I signed a voluntary 72 hold. I was told I could leave in 3 days. I was still in high school at the time. They kept me 2 WEEKS!! I was doing everything they told me. I went to therapy, group therapy, outings like the gym and art time...but nothing. They kept telling me that I was not ready. I was never violent! I was nice to all the staff and girls. I was only there to seek help and better understanding of my condition. They started me on mess 2 DAYS BEFORE I EVEN SAW A DOCTOR! and at that I didn't know what I was taking or why?? Most staff was nice..the doctor was short and rude! And I only saw her ONCE!!!! The therapists were okay I guess. We were treated like prisoners there. When I got home I was so scarred from that place! I begged my mom to never take me back there!! I later went to a different doctor and got the right help. Please take my advice and if you have the choice NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!!

i had been brought to this hospital against my will on an involuntary hold. it was terrible. i was told i would be there for 72 hours, i was kept there for a week. i saw the doctor, maybe twice? i was only 12 at the time and was the youngest girl in the unit. there were only 2 other girls my age (they were my roommates) and i felt afraid and threatened by the older children. a 16 year old had attacked another girl, leaving half the unit in tears, and all the nurses did was send us to our rooms. when the nurses got bored of us they would send us out to a gated patio in the freezing cold. the whole experience was hell and i am still scared. i will say they did give me a nice break from reality and at times could be helpful.

I was there on a 72 hour hold against my will i stayed for almost 2 weeks with good behavior...they arent very clear on when you go home. You dont get to see your doctor more than 5 mins and its extremely cold. Other than that its okay i guess
