I've been to good vets and bad vets. This place is great. They really care about your animals and never recommend that you do anything that they wouldn't have done to their own pets. I love these guys and wound give them 6 stars if I could.

After my dog played with his ball he started limping on his right back led, I got concerned on a third day because the situation never improved and took him to this place based solely on reviews here. We did not schedule an appointment, and decided to just show up. But they basically told us to limp away from there because we are not their customer in a past. I found this rather strange for a vet clinic not being able to handle an emergency like this. It doesn't appear that they were busy at all. But hey, at least they've sent us to the place down the road (therefore 2 stars instead of one) where they checked him out and it appears that he needs a knee surgery. I wanted to port this review merely because I don't want anyone to get into the same situation and waste their time. Because if you do have an emergency this is apparently not the place to go.

We have been taking our 16 year old Beagle Chester there for some time now. We have seen Dr. Reck, and Dr. Gaiser. They took super good care of him and all the employees are very nice. Also we just adopted a 9 year old Cat named Caterpillar. He has FIV and will becoming a new patient there as well.

I have been taking my cats to the Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital since I moved to Pittsburgh in 1989. Over the years my pets have changed and some of the staff has changed as well. What has never changed is the kindness with which both pets and owners area treated, from the first new kitten wellness check to the difficult end-of-life visit. I recently had to make the on-the-spot decision to end the suffering of my beloved 15-year-old cat Spenser. Through the ordeal both the doctor and technician were kind, supportive, and compassionate to both me and Spenser. He left this world cuddled gently in my arms and I left ANVH with gentle hugs from the truly caring staff. I highly recommend ANVH to anyone who owns a pet.

I love this place and the people. They have always been so accommodating and everyone from the front desk to the techs to the doctors are so nice and just plain fantastic!! I take my dogs there and one of them is rambunctious and the other is timid. Duke is the puppy and he loves it there! My Brynn is the timid one but this is the first vet office she has been at that she isn't so stressed out and she will actually sit and lay down instead of pacing in the waiting room and the exam room. She is also afraid of men but she does great with all the doctors there and they all work so well with her. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We are moving and in so sad to leave them but luckily they have 3 other sister offices in Wexford and Harmony!! Hope the other office is just as great as this one.
