We cannot be more thankful for the staff at Allegheny Veterinary Associates. We have been taking our fur baby to them since he was a puppy and cannot say enough great things about them. All of the staff are so nice and genuinely care - true pet lovers! Our pup recently had to have surgery and they were so informative and Dr. Chris did an amazing job. Dr. Nicole was so great at assuring us of how it would go and checking him out post surgery. They truly are the best! Thanks again!!

Dr. Chris and the staff at Allegheny Vet have taken such good care of my dog after 2 ACL repair surgeries. I was a worried mess both times and they are very compassionate and helpful. I would wholeheartedly recommend them as I completely trust them with my pet.

Great Vet! 4.5 stars really. Was our previous dog's vet his whole long life and is now our new puppy vet. Very friendly, personable, and caring. Just be prepared for what may come across as the caffeinated frenzy of a hard working fast mover. Very efficient service with a smile. If you like to ask a lot of questions it helps to be ready with them ahead of time. On the plus side, we've never seen a backed up waiting room nor had to sit in the exam room for more than a minute or two. They are always very responsive, they call back promptly with test results, usually Dr. Nicki herself calling. Prices for services and meds are within range of other vets in the area. We're long-time happy customers.

I accidentally stumbled across this place when doing research about cruciate surgery. I called with the intention of just asking basic questions about it and they were so ridiculously nice on the phone, and their prices were so low, I researched and interrogated them until I decided it was worth a nearly 1,000 mile round trip drive to bring my dog here for the surgery. I was totally taking a risk but when I arrived everyone was even more amazing than I could have hoped. They were patient and understanding and empathetic. I can't even believe it. It has been five days since my dog's TPLO and so far so good. I had never been to Pittsburgh before but I've been telling people how it might even be worth moving here just for this vet!
